17.01.2022 The declining of ‘donation’ type sponsorships and moving to Return on Investment (ROI) partnerships was a trend we identified many years ago. COVID has probably accelerated this trend by a decade. We developed a tool (APP) to help ‘grassroots’ sports transition. This is the first APP of its kind in the world. 09.01.2022 Some 2nd Tier Sports Clubs I'm dealing with collect hundreds of thousands of dollars in sponsorship revenue p.a. which can represent 20-30% of their annual turnover. This would be around 50 businesses giving $6,000 each. Hugh risk going into 2021 (especially in Victoria) will be that these loyal sponsors are either a) no longer in business or b) can no longer afford their sponsorship. This will also impact almost every community club around Australia. I'm hoping to get 100+ clubs to complete this 5 minute survey to support a report I am writing to look at strategies to address this issue.
