25.01.2022 Really getting into work with our big girl now, hoping 2021 brings great things for us! Angelica sporting the beautiful wine PS of Sweden dressage pad and brushing boots.

23.01.2022 Did you know? Horses have an instinctive 15ft safty bubble around them! You have a hard horse to catch? Seems like he lets you get around 15ft near him befor he takes off?... You spend needless hours chasing him up and down the paddock only to get 15ft befor he takes off again? This is instinctive behaviour! In the wild the horses saftey bubble protects him from predators. It allows him to always be one step a head. And yes by god it can be a pain in the royal..... But did you know? That 15ft saftey bubble is the first step to releasing preasure! How? Well, the minute you step into his 15ft, you are unknowingly adding preasure. When working a hard to catch or teaching an unhandled to face up, a 30ft diamitor round yard is perfect. Being the centre marks 15ft at all points of the round yard. A simple step back at the centre will automatically release the preasure from the horse. Horses work of a preasure release method of training. They move away from preasure and are stimulated once the preasue has ceased, as if it was a reward. Like treat training for a dog however the treat is the release. So back to the round yard. Once the horse has executed what he is being asked (face up ect), all I need to do is simply take a step away, Resulting in a release of preasure (reward). Indroducing this method in a round yard will set you up for future success. Teaching the horse to face up when you enter his safty bubble will almost certainly fix any hard to catch horses, and teach a wild horse not to run. Chayce brzeski
