17.01.2022 Hello all, I am hearing a lot of reports of scammers using everything from emails and even SMS text's to try and get your information. Be careful and if in doubt DON'T RESPOND. If you are concerned about something ring the institution direct using a verified phone number. DON'T use the phone number that is attached to the text or email. This could be how the scam works.

13.01.2022 Hello all, A timely reminder that security also includes you cyber security. The photos are from emails I have received that are either Phising or virus loads. If you look at the email address you will see that they are not from AMEX and not from Amazon. This is the first and biggest clue. Secondly they have a number of links. DO NOT CLICK ON THEM. ALSO DONT open the attachments. It would be very easy to create this type of email and if it is suspicious, DELETE it.

12.01.2022 Hello all, Well the scammers keep trying. I have taken screen shots of two emails. The first clue is the originating email. It is not from Paypal or Apple. Secondly I have not signed onto these through the account that they have been received. If in doubt DELETE IT.

09.01.2022 After going through my junk mail again I can see more scam emails. When you are looking at your emails be sure to check the setting for junk mail and if you dont know who its from treat it with extreme caution. On e trick is to look at the senders email address.

08.01.2022 I urge everyone to think about what you are doing online and if you don't know where an email comes from, DELETE IT. I have seen some many emails that look legitimate. I have seen from Vicroads, Banks, AMEX and all are fake. Ransomware requires someone to action an email or click on a link. If in doubt don't open it or confirm with the sender.

08.01.2022 For all the Victorian Farmers, Did you know that you need an Alarm system that meets Australian Standards for specific classes and numbers of firearms. A cheap imported alarm system will not comply with Australian Standards.

Once this assessment is completed, owners and operators have a responsibility to implement the appropriate mitigations, monitor them for effectiveness (including through audits), and review them at appropriate junctures. Personal liability can attach to some of these obligations if breached.

02.01.2022 It is a very good reminder for all computer operators. If you do not know the source of the email or it looks suspicious do not open it. even if it looks like it comes from a bank, a Government agency etc look at the address and DO NOT CLICK on any links. Also update your virus software. This include Apple owners who think they are not targeted.
