23.01.2022 Over 800,000 jobseeker payments have been administered by Services Australia workers during the pandemic. All they want is secure jobs.
21.01.2022 CPSU members are developing a submission for the Senate Inquiry into APS Capability, and we need to hear from you. We're talking about the staffing cap, the use... of labour hire and consultants, and what is happening with APS ICT and digital capability. Take the survey now: bit.ly/aps_capability This Inquiry is our chance to tell the Senate: what’s gone wrong, what’s been done well, and what we can do to improve things. We want to hear from all APS staff, labour hire and contracted staff.
21.01.2022 Australians have watched their incomes and working conditions go backwards under the liberal government for the 5 years before the pandemic. Now the government wants to reward all the workers who got us through the pandemic with further cuts to pay and conditions. This race to the bottom is not sustainable.
20.01.2022 Now is not the time for the federal government to be introducing further legislation to cut workers pay.
18.01.2022 With the current state of the economy we need to invest in all of us. More than ever we need a properly resourced ABC.
17.01.2022 Your union in the APS.
16.01.2022 Unfortunately, the work of the Commission has been undermined by public service staffing and budget cuts, leaving the Commission understaffed and under resourced. The outbreak of COVID-19 in our aged care facilities only further highlighting the devastating impact cuts to public services have on our communities. It is unacceptable that right now these workers jobs are being outsourced to labour hire companies. All at the expense of the workforce and taxpayer.
14.01.2022 CPSU National Secretary Melissa Donnelly said in a statement that the union had raised the issues of sexual harassment and bullying for the last two years with almost no action taken by the Department of Finance.
13.01.2022 An open letter from our members to the community.
11.01.2022 A highlight on our collective achievement so far in response to COVID-19, and the key areas we're focusing on in the coming months. We need to bring everyone up to lift the standard for everyone. Be part of this community for each other: www.cpsu.org.au/join
08.01.2022 Privatising & reducing wages to supplement private profits hurts small business and local communities.
