23.01.2022 SEXUAL HARASSMENT is not OK. Like Domestic Violence, it can leave the victim feeling powerless, intimidated or humiliated. Know your rights. ... Sexual harassment is unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature done with the intention of offending, humiliating or intimidating the other person or that a reasonable person would expect to offend, humiliate or intimidate. Sexual harassment is not restricted to the workplace and applies in all situations in Queensland. Both males and females can be the victims or perpetrators of sexual harassment. It doesn’t have to be repeated or ongoing to be against the law. http://www.legalaid.qld.gov.au//Discrimination-and-sexual-

18.01.2022 I appreciate this is a small survey group, but any perceptions is too high. I am shocked! A national survey has found, four in ten young men do not consider punching and hitting to constitute domestic violence. The survey of 1074 adults for anti-violence campaign group White Ribbon found 42 per cent of men aged 18 to 34 did not consider "hitting, punching or restraining" another person to be "a type of domestic violence".... A similar proportion of men in that age bracket did not classify non-consensual sexual activity, degrading and punishing a person or isolating them from their friends as domestic violence. https://www.smh.com.au//incredibly-shocking-younger-men-fa

Based on best practice standards for education programs, the program consists of two interactive education workshops; Domestic and Family Violence and Sexual Assault, followed by a creative workshop that aims to consolidate the information learnt. The artwork created is used for local campaigns to raise awareness and challenge gender based violence in the community. Check out some of the slog...ans from our local high school students. I am so lucky to be a part of this education, working alongside a fabulous team of co-presenters. Their passion and commitment in regards to the topics is refreshing. #dosomething #lovebites #endDV #notnownotevertogether
