25.01.2022 Recent legislation has changed allowing us to carry out routine or scheduled service & maintenance, so this means we can now carry out servicing as this was considered essential. We are still restricted with our non-essential services, so cannot carry out optional repairs like audio for example, but can still service & maintain your vehicle so you can stay safely on the road, give us a call today, and stay safe!

23.01.2022 Well done Melbourne! We are so happy to see the numbers being low enough to re open many of our shops and restaurants! We are happy to be getting back to normal in line with all guidelines and limitations as per government legislation. We look forward to helping do our part in keeping you safe and look forward to continuing to service and maintain your vehicles and fulfill your electrical needs. ... Stay safe!!

11.01.2022 Hi everyone. Hope you are all staying safe during the current lockdown! Here at C.Q. Auto Electrics & Mechanical we are still open, but only for essential repairs as per government guidelines. This includes safety related items and your interlock needs. But since many cars are being left in driveways and not getting their usual drives, car batteries have become an issue. By not driving your car, the battery is going flat and causing issues. The last thing anyone wants is to ...go out to their car and hear the dreaded sound of a flat battery! The age old idea of starting the car and letting it run in the driveway doesn’t always get the job done, most charging systems operate most efficiently and higher rpm, so you may still be taking more out of the battery than you are putting back into it, let alone the risk of someone driving off in your car while it’s running in the driveway! So to make things simple, we are offering to free of charge(yes pun intended ) to recharge and test your battery. Just pop in and in a safe, non-contact, while you wait service we will test your battery’s capacity and state of charge. If it needs it, we will charge and re-test your battery and charging system and deliver to you peace of mind in the reliability of your vehicle. This is a free of charge service and will be happy to have you drop in anytime!......in the meantime, stay safe and we look forward to the day things get back to some kind of normal.

03.01.2022 Just an update guys. Our phone lines are currently down. If you need to contact us, email or message here and we will call you back.

03.01.2022 Just an update on our availability & services during the current lock down. As per official guidelines, we are allowed to to any emergency & essential work you may require. This would include urgent & safety items, which could be repairs such as lights, non-starts, brakes & other items that are considered safety items. We are unable to carry out general servicing & maintenance unfortunately until the restrictions are eased. Although if your car is in our shop for an urgent ...repair as stated above, it may be serviced & maintained while we have it. These rules also do not apply to health care workers so your car can be serviced as usual if you work in this field. We apologize for any inconvenience & look forward to looking after your vehicles when the restrictions ease, but until then we are doing our part in being responsible & stopping the spread. We would also like to let you know that all vehicles are sanitized on drop of & completion & we are practicing non-contact exchanges where possible, thank you for your understanding, we hope you all are staying safe!
