24.01.2022 Carmila Beach! What a great spot and only 2.5 hours from Rocky CQCH spent three days up at this magical spot surrounded by sand, sun, mates and plenty of ... To get there, head north on the Bruce and then turn right at the Carmila servo. From there its only 5km to the T-intersection, left is the boat ramp and right is the way to the various camping areas. There is drop dunnies and a RV drop point but nothing else. The cost is $10 a night per vehicle. We got up there early friday afternoon and there was plenty of campers by then, so get in early to get a great spot #Isaacregion #welovecamping #welovecq #cqcamperhire

For the month of August, CQCH is donating 100% of all hire fees to a special cause, helping our mates Sam and Emily Hill buy a Cuddlecot to donate to the Base Hospital. Sam and Emily tragically lost their daughter at 35 weeks and are spreading awareness for still birth and wish to help grieving parents by making a Cuddlecot available at the Base. ... What is a CuddleCot? Providing families time through the use of the CuddleCot is internationally encouraged by midwives, bereavement practitioners, still birth/neonatal charities, and academics. Time allows the family to form an important bond with their baby; whether changing a nappy, dressing the baby, taking photographs or simply just staying close and this helps families in dealing with their loss. The CuddleCot system cools the baby allowing families to stay with their baby and is in use in thousands of hospitals across the world.
