25.01.2022 Hard day at the office for our trainee surveyor!

23.01.2022 It must be the month for tilt panel projects. Another project requesting our specialised services for accurate set-out of tilt panels but this one was and signifcant and challenging! A existing warehouse getting a much needed extension which meant joining into the existing structure. So when Max Churchill from MBC Builders Mackay asked if we could complete this work on a saturday so to not interfere with the clients daily operations we didn't even think twice! The works happening inside the existing part of the shed had to be marked up on existing purlins as all the work is happening from the roof down! Nice to be working with this client on another great project. Can't wait to see the panels get erected next week!

21.01.2022 We are back! For those that have supported Ella with well wishs and words of encouragement during her golf tournaments over the past few weeks, thank you! Proud to post that on her last competition, the West Coast junior olympics, Ella played a great tournment and maintain a lead over the first 2 days but a couple of not so good holes meant her final score was tied with another Australian player which resulted in a sudden death playoff. Ella kept her focus and won the playoff on the first hole. Ben was a nervous wreck but who wouldnt be! Ella now has a nice big shiny olympic golden medal to hang proudly with the rest of her golf trophies. Thank you all for the support.

14.01.2022 Our very own trainee surveyor Ella has her golf clubs clean and packed and she is counting down the hours till we jetset off to America for her very exciting and incrediable golfing adventure. Ella will be joining the rest of the Australian Junior Golf team to play in the World Stars of Junior Golf in Las Vegas and later playing in the West Coast Junior Olympics in South California. We wish you all the luck in the world and we know you will do well. Ben will of course be helping out as much as possible and believes Ella has a extra advantage by having an experienced surveyor by herside giving her the best advice on slope & terrain analysis and accuarate distances to the green. We dont think Ella is too keen on taking some of his gear.

13.01.2022 This week we played host to Mirani State High School year 10 student Aaron Stevenson for work experience. Aaron started the week with very basic knowledge of what a surveyor does, he knew we did something with measuring boundaries! Well today is his last day, we have had him setting out houses, collecting data for DTM surveys with both robotic and GPS equipment and his last job is to draft up a plan on CAD. I'd say he has a better understanding of a surveyors job now.

03.01.2022 Pre-cast panels! We were engaged by this client to undertake the set-out of 64 pre-cast panels to make instalation easier. Calculations from "Issued For Constructions" drawings and set-out done with nails placed for the outside face and did we mention all done with high accuracy! Another 15 panels to set-out Monday. More photos to come once the pre-cast panels are erected!

01.01.2022 A BUILDERS NIGHTMARE!.......Or is it? Do you have a building project on a sloped site? then let us deal with all you survey set-out requirements to ensure no mistakes are made! A little set-out this morning for Marty Cameron Homes in Koumala, this little gem was de-grassed, corners of the house and over 50 pier centres set-out along with profiles erected and marked up, they even started drilling some of the piers whilst we where nearly finished and all this was done well before smoko!

01.01.2022 A little dry out west at the moment! CQESS traveled to the Disney Cattle Farm which is located 120klms NNW of Clermont. The plan was to survey the proposed area to position 4 x 555.5m (Radius) centre pivots, around the existing 4 centre pivots. A day spent zipping around the dusty farm on quad bike equiped with GPS equipment, who could ask for a better office! CQESS worked together with Dowdens Pumping and Water Treatment Agricultural Sales Representative to accurately position the 4 pivots and we even found enough room to position a 5th (345m) pivot. Another happy client!
