25.01.2022 At our recent visit to the wonderful Emu Park State School the year 5 and 6 students learned that it is normal to have conflict in a friendship from time to time and that, when we know how to resolve conflict respectfully, our friendships can become stronger and healthier. Thanks to Communities for Children FP - Capricorn Region for sponsoring our visit.
24.01.2022 Great health tips from Harold and Lisa.
22.01.2022 Read the article to find out why more Australians are giving up alcohol between 2016 and 2019 the number of ex-drinkers in the population rose from 1.5 to 1.9 million Australians. And that decrease in consumption is largely being driven by young people.
21.01.2022 We love these question and answer sessions with Healthy Harold and Lisa.
21.01.2022 Let's all play our part in keeping children safe. #PlayYourPart
19.01.2022 Healthy Harold LOVES receiving letters and artwork from the children he visits. So, he was super excited to get this letter in the post from Jasper. Thanks Jasper. We’re so glad you enjoyed your visit from Harold and hope you liked the thank you letter he wrote back to you.
18.01.2022 What a little groover! I wish I could move like this.
17.01.2022 Everyone knows I love visiting schools but the impact of the Life Education would be possible without passionate class teachers and our committed educators. Happy #WorldTeacherDay
17.01.2022 Have you been feeling extra low lately? Week 7 of Term 3 has been voted the toughest week of the school year! The article below has great ideas on how to reframe it and recharge ourselves and our kids/students.
16.01.2022 Thanks for having us St Paul's Catholic Primary School, Gracemere. Harold and Liz always enjoy working with your dedicated staff and delightful students.
15.01.2022 It's really special seeing how excited kids can get when Healthy Harold visits their school! The students at Emu Park State School had heaps of fun while learning about their bodies and what to do to keep them safe and healthy. Thanks to the staff and students for making us feel so welcome. Thanks also to Communities for Children FP - Capricorn Region for sponsoring our visit.
15.01.2022 Make today, #WorldGratittudeDay, the day you start a gratitude journal!
14.01.2022 Great advice from Life Education Queensland. Do you know what content your child is accessing online? With reports today of a distressing video circulating on social media, it is an unfortunate reminder of just how vigilantly we must monitor our children's online activities and the types of content they are accessing via the internet.... This Child Protection Week, grab our tips and resources to help keep your children safe online, including a free visual app guide for parents via the link below. If you or your child have encountered inappropriate content online, please report it to the Office of the eSafety Commissioner here: https://bit.ly/35bPQWl #ncpw20 #playyourpart #childprotectionweek See more
14.01.2022 Are you ok? It's amazing how such a simple question can have such an impact. Who are you going to ask today on R U OK Day?
10.01.2022 Kindness can be as simple as a smile, compliment, or conversation. Why don't you try one of these today and celebrate #WorldKindnessDay with us? Let's make kindness the new normal!
10.01.2022 Some great suggestions here from Parenting Littles about how to share your feeling with your kids. Emotional literacy is such an important life skill to learn and it is so helpful when adults model it for children.
10.01.2022 Ask yourself what would Harold do.
10.01.2022 Congratulations to our fabulous friends and colleagues from Life Education NT on being named the top three favourite educators in the Territory. So well deserved.
09.01.2022 Great back to school tips from Life Education Queensland

09.01.2022 Very important warning and advice below by Susan McLean - Cyber Safety Expert about the promotion of a guide to TikTok in their recent brochure. We always advise schools, students and parents/carers that TikTok is not an appropriate app for primary school aged children.

07.01.2022 Thanks Waraburra State School for another fabulous visit! The preps and year one students even surprised Healthy Harold with some beautiful drawings
07.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day!
06.01.2022 Thank you Yeppoon State School for another wonderful visit Harold was a bit sad to say goodbye to the Year Six students as we have seen most of them every year since they were in Prep! We hope you have enjoyed the sessions in the Life Education mobile classroom over the years and that you continue to stay happy and healthy in High School! Thanks also to Communities for Children FP - Capricorn Region for sponsoring our visit.
06.01.2022 We visited the beautiful St Mary's North Rockhampton during science week and the students loved including Harold in all the fun. We know that play can be a key to learning. One of the things that makes the Life Education program so engaging is the playful and meaningful connection that students develop with Harold. Kai, one of the school leaders, gave the following vote of thanks after their session on "Relate, Respect, Connect": "Thank you for teaching us, Liz. My favourite... part was about solving problems in friend relationships and finding out what Harold does to calm down. This is something I will take up in my own life." Students regularly give Harold drawings and thank you letters (he always writes back). He definitely helps to make the sessions memorable. #HealthyHarold #lifeeducation"
06.01.2022 Sharing in a recent episode of our parenting podcast, founder of The Resilience Project , Hugh van Cuylenburg, said that a gratitude journal (the simple act of ...writing done three good things that happened each day) can rewire our brains. lifeeducation.org.au//rewire-your-brain-with-hugh-van-cuyl #WorldGratitudeDay
06.01.2022 Harold and Brittany recently had a wonderful few visits to Rockhampton South Kindergarten. They were both very impressed with what the children had learnt during their visits (just ask them to show you how big their brains are!). Thanks for having us Rocky South Kindy #HealthyHarold #CQLifeEducation
05.01.2022 Healthy Harold is such a SUPERSTAR
04.01.2022 Today at Waraburra State School students came dressed as their favourite book character. It was so much fun! This thoughtful and kind student also made a gorgeous necklace for Healthy Harold. Just like her favourite book character, she showed that good friends are kind and thoughtful and they like us just the way we are
02.01.2022 TEACHERS ROCK!!! One of the many reasons we love visiting Glenmore State Primary School every year is because we get to catch up with the LEGENDARY Mrs Kay Barram. Each year-come rain, hail or pandemic-Mrs Barram goes above and beyond to extend the Life Education visit back in the classroom for the preppies. Kay always finds a creative and kind way to make us feel connected and appreciated whether by creating picture books that show what the students learned in the session o...r making fabulous posters like the one below. Thank you Mrs Barram for being such an INSPIRATION! Thanks also to Communities for Children FP - Capricorn Region for sponsoring our visit. #teachersrock #HealthyHarold #lifeeducation
