18.01.2022 Which one should you choose for your studio business? Both lol sorry very anti-climatic. Both are amazing. I do have a favourite though, and I am sure you will guess which one (it's Facebook ) Am I biased? Maybe, but I have good reasons, read on... ...... When it comes to the primary difference between Google AdWords and Facebook Ads, you can think of it this way. AdWords helps you find new customers by matching your ad to what they are searching for. Facebook Ads help new customers find you thanks to the ads you deliver to them based on their interests. An example of this would be if you sold a bike lock, sorry completely random but read on you'll get it. With Google, you can only reach people with your ads if they actually typed in bike lock or whatever keyword phrase you out money on. With Facebook, you would be able to target people that have had any sort of interaction with a bike lock. This will include other people that fit into this audience group that has similar interests to bike locks like bikes, bike safety, etc. They might not have considered buying a lock yet. But then they see an ad about protecting their bike with this great new lock and they're like "oh yeah, that sounds like a good idea, I should get that". As such Facebook is a bit more proactive, you are not waiting for people to look for you. Based on interests and other information that Facebook gathers about them (believe me it is a lot), Facebook will deduce if people can be interested in the service you provide and are likely to buy from you (depending on your Ad objective). Also, Facebook is more personable and is all about building connections. When you are in the teaching space, that your business is a lot about you, your team, and your vibe, Facebook represents a huge advantage. Finally, if you're new to an area or if your teaching discipline is not well known, the chances of people typing "Pilates in Your City" (for instance) might not be very high. ... If you were a plumber my take would be 100% different. People rarely consider a plumbing service or try to know a plumber better before they actually need one lol Usually the water pipe breaks, it's a catastrophe. You do a quick search on Google and call the first plumber you find, mot likely an ad link at the top. See what I mean? ... If you're looking to scale your studio business and have a good marketing budget; you should definitely invest in both and get new clients from all angles. If you're at the beginning of your journey, Facebook is your platform. There are plenty of free strategies you can use before investing in Facebook ads. And when you do, you will be able to reach out to your ideal client instead of hoping that someone looks for you

18.01.2022 I received the below heartwarming message from Tania Huddart, she is the fabulous studio owner of Hearts and Bones Pilates in New Zealand and has been in my group for a little while Having someone taking the time to message you and thank you really feels me with joy. It comforts me in my why, as in why I am doing what I do. When you have your own business it's really important to know your WHY. My purpose is to help Pilates and Wellness studio owners, or soon to be, to mast...er Facebook so it helps them get more clients consistently for their wonderful business. I do that in many different ways, my coaching programs and my Facebook group are the main ones, and the goal is always to empower people in their business. Seeing that it works and really helps is always the best feeling

17.01.2022 **I failed...but I am taking it as an opportunity to learn and do better** We have this idiom in France: "Les cordonniers sont toujours les plus mal chausses" which translates to Shoemakers always have the worse shoes. I keep on telling clients and people in my network to promote themselves, to let the world know what they do so they can help more people and I have failed to do this for myself...... ... I recently asked in my FB Group members if they knew what I offer and I can't say the answer was an overwhelming yes lol This was a big aha moment for me. How can I help you, Pilates & Wellness studio owners, if you do not know the extent of my offer and all the ways I can assist you. I failed to remind myself as I remind you that selling is serving. That it is not about you, or me, but it is about how we can make the best use of our skills to help others accomplish their goals, whatever they might be. .... So here it goes, let me start with a clean slate and really tell you what I do. I help you, studio owners extraordinaire, master Facebook marketing so you can get more clients and reach your financial freedom. All of this minus the headache of figuring it out yourself. How? I have a wonderful FB group you can join to get inspired, find some useful tips, ask any questions you want but it doesn't stop there. Some of you might want more, might need more. Do you want to reach your goal faster? Do you want a personalised approach? In your studios, some people are ok with group classes but others would not go for anything else than privates right? Well THIS is what I do. I can work 1 on 1 with you, at any stage of your business. We come up with the best Facebook strategy and a game plan that is right for you and will take your studio to the next level. Are you wanting to scale your studio business? Is your main desire to outsource your marketing so you can really focus on what you do best in your business? I can do that too! This is what I call a "Do It for You" which again will be tailored to your needs. So here it is, that's the extent of my business. And if I don't remind you from time to time that I can assist and support you in multiple ways I simply fail to really help you. Try and remember that for your own business too, don't keep your genius hidden away, let it shine and have a positive impact on people's lives

16.01.2022 *CONTROVERSIAL OPINION* Why I will not give you a month of social media content already made for your studio...Because it will not sort your content creation issue, hear me out. ... You will probably just copy/paste and your feed will look like anybody else, not you, not your vibe.... You believe it saves you all the work but it doesn't. It might spark inspiration but then you need to have your own words, your own imagery, your own strategy. You're better off mastering your strategy and learning a system to make your content creation quick, efficient and impactful. I cover all of this in my Facebook group and more Once you have solid foundations you can outsource some of the content creation process but remember it will be a collaboration, not just you washing your hands from it. Otherwise it won't work for your objective which is to share your superpower, your expertise and get more clients for your studio. ... If you want to join my FB group to learn more about mastering Facebook to grow your studio business or need a personalised strategy for your studio, give me a shout below

15.01.2022 ** The benefits of promoting yourself and getting your own clients as an instructor** I was looking for a Gif to illustrate "Mine" and this baby panda was too cute to pass on lol More seriously, this thought came about during a recent strategy session with a Pilates Instructor. With COVID she lost most of her clientele and she was looking for advice on how to market her services and get more clients.... The lost clientele had absolutely nothing to do with her abilities but a lot of them came from Corporate classes. While some followed her online most didn't. And I strongly believe they didn't because they weren't her clients. Let me explain. ... They were coming to a class organised by their workplace. It's a service provided, it's convenient, it's there, it's part of their routine. They did love it and it was making a huge difference in their life but once the routine was gone, the connection and communication went out of the window with it. I am not saying that it's not hard to keep your own clients especially with all the changes they went through with a pandemic. It's hard to keep habits when your world got turned upside down. But if you have your own clients, they come to you, they chose you, so let's say you have more chances to have won their loyalty. Also, you get the opportunity and benefit to create your own group to liaise with them, motivate them, remind them you are here for them. ... Just like I was mentioning in my previous post about Word of Mouth. It's not that WOM or teaching classes for companies or other people is bad, of course it is not. I am teaching for a Pilates studio I love it, that's not the question. What I am pointing out is if teaching Pilates, Yoga or any fitness classes is your main or only source of income - or if you own a studio - wouldn't you feel better to be able to generate a big part of it by yourself and for yourself? ... My mission is literally to help you do just that, teaching you how to use Facebook marketing to get more clients for your own studio and classes. Want to know more? Join my FB group, that's a great first step towards mastering Facebook to grow your studio and classes! Let me know if you want below

14.01.2022 *HAVE YOU EVER FELT LIKE THE UNICORN IN THE ROOM?* That was me this morning lol I was attending a zoom webinar, as an online coach I keep educating myself on how to best serve my clients, and here is what the host asked.... "Who is a public figure you admire?" Then goes on a list from other attendees of business people or TV icons amongst the classics Steve Jobs and Oprah... And here I am writing: Anand Giridharas (author of Winners take all) and AOC (Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez) both quite the opposite of anyone else mentioned lol ... I admire them for their strong principles, for speaking their mind despite what other thinks, for standing their ground and sharing openly that equality and solidarity should prevail instead of money and crushing everyone to make it and remain on top. Of course, everyone wants to make money from their business, I am not denying that. You need money to live, everyone that has been shut down or made redundant because of the pandemic, including me, knows that. But it doesn't have to be the main and only focus. ... I started my business with the vision to help Pilates and Wellness studio owners so they can keep their business open, get more clients, recover from their loss, and thrive. What they do is good for the community in general, they keep people moving, healthy physically and mentally. And I know for a fact that they work for passion. Should their passion also enable them to live to their full potential and then help even more people, hell yeah. ... So yeah I might have an unconventional way of seeing business and it might not take me anywhere in the end lol But at least I will have remained true to myself and to me that matters

13.01.2022 ** The positive side of COVID and what it taught me** I know I surprise myself as much as you saying this. When the pandemic became a crisis, my entire life was turned upside down in a matter of a week. I lost my marketing job, the Pilates studio closed and when the decision was made to close all dance schools and put an end to all social dancing I thought I would have a panic attack.... But now a few months have passed and, despite the fact I would have rather none of this happened, this unprecedented situation taught me a few things. And not just me. I feel it has taught us all how to value our relationships and what we had always taken for granted. ... I was discussing this with a friend on Thursday, we are both from the dance scene, and we agreed that COVID changed the nature of our relationships with other dancers for the better. Before we were together all the time but coincidentally, just because we had a common hobby. We ended seeing each other all the time in class and at socials but was it really bonding? Was it really sharing? Not as much... When COVID hit we were forced to be apart which was terrible but it also pushed us to make an effort and make our relationships, our friendships more real. And what a blessing when we were able to finally be back together in the same room and talk to each other face to face. ... My birthday celebration also enhanced that point. While it was extremely hard for me to limit my gathering to 20 people, usually it's PAAARTTTAAYYY!!!! I actually loved my birthday celebration, maybe even more than usual even. There was a new sense of connection in the room, everyone really making an effort to catch up and bond with each other, not simply throw ourselves into dance and music. It's as if a shift happened within us without even noticing. Because deep inside we know this can be taken away from us or be a pale form of reality when happening through a screen. ... So while I can't wait for life to be back to normal, even if it's a slightly different version of it. While I can't wait to be able to travel the world and social dance my heart out again. I feel I will cherish these gatherings differently and I won't always let myself be consumed by the music and the dance. And I think a few of us feel the same. What about you? What is your positive COVID outcome?

07.01.2022 **Why relying on word of mouth only is a risky choice for your studio business** Make no mistake, I am not saying WOM isn't awesome or doesn't work at all. It does and it always will. What I am saying is: if WOM is your primary way to get clients, you take the risk of relying on other people's willingness to talk about you to get the clients you need.... ... If your studio is going really well and you only need a random influx of business then that's pretty good. But what if a pandemic happens? What if everything changes? What if businesses who referred you clients are also struggling? Wouldn't you feel safer to have your own well oiled system to generate clients? Wouldn't you prefer to be in full control and everything else that comes from someone else is a bonus? ... Having a solid marketing strategy and using Facebook to promote your studio and services can definitely help you with that and get to more security. And think about it? Isn't Facebook the biggest WOM you can get? How more likely people are to refer you if they see you more often online? The thing is you take control of the message, decide who to send it to and you don't wait for your ideal clients to come to you. You go and get them Want to learn more about FB marketing? 05.01.2022 A lot of people are online at the moment, you want to make sure that if people search for a service you offer on Google, or other search engines, they find you Here are 10 easy tips to follow to make sure your website SEO is looking good and attract visitors: 1) Domain: buy a personalised domain, short and catchy, describing clearly what you do and if possible including a main keyword (what people will use to look for you in search engines)... 2) URL: make them simple and easy. This means no special characters, no underscores (only hyphens), no page ID. 3) Titles and pages descriptions: this is your metadata, it appears under the name of your page in search results. Make sure it's clear and catchy, giving an accurate overview of your page content and use keywords appropriately. 4) Title for images and videos: search engines can’t see images like we do. This is why you need to add text to help them understand what your photos or videos are about. 5) Loading time: 47% of people expect page to load within 2 to 3 seconds. Plenty of things influence it but as a rule don't overload your homepage with images and content. It's the first point of entry to your website, it needs to load quickly. Optimise images and videos size (embedding video with autoplay is a good idea), check your website guidelines for this. 6) Mobile friendly: majority of search are made via mobile these days so make sure your website, all pages, are optimised for mobile viewing. 7) Local SEO: if you're a local Pilates or Wellness studio you surely want to attract people in your surrounding area. The best way to start is by claiming your business on Google My Business, and filling in your profile from head to toe. This way, your business can be found when searching on Google Maps. sign up to as many local directories as you can. 8) Long tail keywords: Try finding more precise keywords by adding your specialty and/or location, so more short phrase that just one or 2 keywords. Like Pilates studio specialised in injury rehabilitation Bondi Beach rather than Pilates studio. 9) Website structure optimisation: it makes it easier for search engine bots to crawl and understand your pages hierarchy and it's essential for users experience to be able to navigate through your site freely. 10) Content: this is actually the number 1 factor influencing your website ranking. It needs to be original (no repost from somewhere else), fresh (updated regularly) and valuable (readers can learn something from it or be entertained, it needs to be of value to them). Also sprinkle some keywords in it, and sprinkling is the term, don't use them so much that your text doesn't make sense, this won't take you very far with your costumers. Did you know you can pamper your Facebook SEO too? I cover this topic and many more in my group, if you want in comment GROUP and I will send you an invite

02.01.2022 You have a business page, good amount of followers, you post regularly so your fans see your posts right Well sorry to break your dreams but unfortunately that is not the case... Am I saying organic is useless? Hell no, your organic strategy absolutely needs to be solid to represent your studio, create real relationships with your clients, attract prospects and build authority and trust. But if you don't support it with some form of advertising you are missing out big time.... Why? According to eMarketer, 96 percent of marketers consider Facebook the most effective social media advertising platform based on proven ROI. And more impressively, according to a Wordstream Marketing Analysis, Facebook advertisers (someone with at least one active campaign within the last 90 days so not spending $1,000 of dollars) outperform businesses that aren’t advertising to the average of: 77% more page fans 96% more page clicks 126% more page impressions 225% more post impressions 90% more fans reached 111% more friends of page fans reached Why should you care? Because by running a handful of ads you can almost double your organic reach! Not just from your ads, it literally contributes to boost your organic reach overall. If your total number of page fans increases, the size and quality of your lookalike audiences (similar to people who engage with you) improve, too. More page clicks gives you an aggregate of other actions taken by your new fans that can provide insight into the types of content that work best with your audience. If your image-centric posts incite more page clicks than your videos, post more images. Simple. It also influences your ads creative. More page impressions mean a) people are seeing your posts and b) they’re seeing them often. That means that more Facebook users (potential prospects not just your fans) become familiar with your business and begin to perceive your value without you having to boost many posts and invest more money. So if you're actively posting on your business page already, by running just one simple campaign, you can enhance key organic metrics by upwards of 100%, why wouldn't you? 02.01.2022 It's always a pleasure to catch up with Joanne Bezzina, whether it is for business or not Jo has been my mentor for many years and I am glad to be part of her team at Pilates On George here in Sydney. ... Recently we had a strategy session about social media for the studio and here was Jo wonderful feedback: "I was impressed with Celine's passion for marketing when we met recently for a digital health check for my business. We discussed the differences between the various p...latforms and what would work best for my business. Celine created an achievable way for me to post more regularly and feel authentic while doing it. I would recommend Celine for your social media needs." ...
