With the Solar Optimizer & Safety Switch firefighters are able to turn off the solar panels and make them safe. There is also the added bonus of more power, tests demonstrated that up to 25% more power is obtained from solar panels which are properly managed at the panel level, and most often it is greater than 16%. The Solar Optimizer & Safety Switch also monitors your solar panels and lets to see their performance online, you know when they need cleaning, or a panel is broken allowing you to do timely targeted maintenance to keep your array performing at its best. The Optimizer also allows the installation of solar panels on properties where there is part shade and where solar panels could not normally be installed. This is because each panel (panel pair) is managed separately and shading on one panel does nor effect the power output from the others. Used panels are a viable option when using the Optimizer. Panels do not need to be of the same brand, voltage size or power output. Strings do not need to be the same length for parallel connection making installation simpler.
