I would like to take this chance to announce our affiliation with WorkPac in Emerald and thank Adrienne McCauley who has been working hand in hand with me personally to make sure that we can look after all the events in Central Queensland. 18.01.2022 The SoloSafe device works using the Telstra mobile network to communicate to our Certified Grade A1 Monitoring Centre. If assistance is required, the user presses the SOS button for 2 seconds, the device will then vibrate indicating that an SOS alarm has been initiated. The alarm will be received by our 24/7 monitoring station where one of our experienced operators will have the ability to speak with the user via the device. After establishing the nature of the emergency si...tuation, our team will determine the required course of action (ie, dispatch emergency services or notify a nominated contact). The SOS alert will also send the GPS coordinates of the devices location and follow any further movements they make every 30 seconds for the following hour. 14.01.2022 I wanted to make people aware.... guide dogs havent been trained in social distancing and queuing to get in a shop. If you see a guide dog heading straight for... the shop door and not joining the queue, that is what they have been trained to do. Theyre not being rude or intentionally queue jumping. Also, if you see them walking down the street, remember, they havent been trained to social distance, so it is up to us, the sighted people, to give them the space. Hope that helps my many guide dog owner friends in these really difficult and challenging times. See more

06.01.2022 Our Monitoring Control Room is graded the highest grade in Australia by The Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL) which is the largest securi...ty industry Association representing the security industry in Australia. The ASIAL scheme seeks to provide customers with the reassurance that the standards applied at a monitoring centre are independently audited on a regular basis. Typically, the type of items that are covered in the standard are: The construction of the center, together with its physical and fire protection Access into the center Ventilation systems (their integrity and operation) Power supply arrangements (multiple redundancy and standby times) Communications (telephones, duress and radio) Redundancy in the monitoring equipment and its record-keeping for all information - (kept within the control room for 10 years) Licensed staff Stringent timeframes that the staff must adhere to to maintain the grading on all signals, please refer to AS 2201.2-2004. Recoded Competency based training on all Control Room operators and annual follow ups Our Monitoring control centre is a registered company through Australia Police. This allows a quicker and more efficient time response if required and a very close relationship with both parties. Australian Police will respond accordingly depending on the severity of the case. As per above, stringent timeframes that the staff must adhere to to maintain the grading on all signals, please refer to AS 2201.2-2004. Ops Manager1 The process is as per the priority of the signal and as per the clients request. The priority again is listed in AS 2201.2-2004. Within saying this, I can assure you that all high priority signals are actioned immediately. As an A1 Graded Control room, our control centre has to provide staff with a Training Program that is designed to provide new employees with an understanding of the Monitoring Centre and its position within the company,the services it provides, terminology used and software necessary to provide the service. The staff are reviewed and tested each year to ensure that their knowledge is kept up to date. All training is recorded and reviewed by ASIAL regularly. Also, our Control Room Operators have undertaken a course from an external Domestic Violence Organisation to help recognise the challenges and barriers to those who experience domestic and family violence. The Operators have been trained with the Cycle of Violence and are able to identify the clients individual threat/emergency and how to provide efficient and effective support. The Control Room Operators also have full knowledge of the Domestic Violence and Family Violence Protection Act 2012. Ops Manager1
