20.01.2022 Long-standing Director of Simulation in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences, Professor Kerry Reid-Searl, has retired from her academic position at CQUniversity. However, Kerry’s creative presence will continue to grow at the University. As an Adjunct Professor with CQUni, Professor Reid-Searl now focuses on the continued development and expansion of the innovative simulation tools being the MASK-ED and PUP-ED programs, along with the educational Poop Kit program to educate children about gut and digestive health. This continued development and expansion will have the ultimate aim of creating and growing the real-life commercial impact of these innovative creations born out of many years of focused and applied research. Kerry’s creativity remains an important presence at CQUniversity and a focus for the future.

18.01.2022 Another exciting project from Kerry and the CQUni team. https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/9VBjCr8DKRU70E6GTQV2X8

18.01.2022 To all the Mask Ed family and people who have responded to my award on this Mask Ed Facebook page. I want to thank you all for your beautiful comments. So appreciated. In accepting this award there are many people who I must acknowledge with some who have worked along side of me over many years in the space of Mask Ed. Whilst there are many, there have been some key individuals. Colette Le Page you have been there since day one filming every scenario. Always there with new id...eas. Jeanette Delemoir - you were instrumental in getting the pedagogy written with me into resource booklets. Lea Vieth an incredible contribution made over many years in the filming, role plays, ideas and spreading the word. Her part was significant for which I am forever grateful. Leslie Walker, you have been with me all the way. To Rusty Sleusser the original prop maker and believer in trying different things. Whilst Rusty has passed he was original in his ideas. To Sebastian and Steph from Hollywood Mask Masters who forged ahead despite many challenges. Their roles have been instrumental. To my colleagues Jo Crownover, Nathan Oliver, Jane Frost, and Jo Rhodes who continue to inspire others in what they do in the space of Mask Ed across the world. And to all others who continue to play the characters after my training in so many organisations. To my simulation colleagues who accept difference with special mention to Tracy Levett-Jones, Steve Guinea, Patrea Anderson and Jenny Basset. Lastly my champion colleagues at CQU at every campus who have embraced this approach and who carry the torch. I appreciate every one of you. To the leadership team in the school of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences and also the leadership team at CQUniversity who have allowed different approaches in learning and teaching to occur. You have all played a part - THANKYOU See more
