25.01.2022 It was great to speak with the Premier Mark McGowan and Stephen Price MLA - Member for Forrestfield with the Forrestfield United Football Club about the Womens World Cup and how much it could help our clubs and communities!

25.01.2022 How beautiful is our area??

23.01.2022 When you become a Local Government Councillor you take an Oath to undertake your role to the best of your ability and for the betterment of the people and community you serve to the best of your judgment. Publically coming out with racism about community is not okay; it creates toxicity, shame, builds distress and kills peoples spirits, breaking up the very communities we are trying to improve whilst we should be working towards better our community by building a cohesive and... connected community where we all belong. Individual behaviours, whilst I dont agree with them, theyre absolutely entitled to these views, but in knowing that youre an elected member 24/7 this view is not something you can promote to people, let alone the community knowing how influential we can be. Not to mention the amount of harm this does to a persons wellbeing, and it affects every facet of their life and that includes economically. Today I make a conscious effort with many other community members and Elected members to ensure that we stamp out racism and discrimination within Local Government and I seek to reinstil community confidence and trust in their elected members. This is about women, men and people from many communities, none of it is acceptable- EVER! #notonmywatch

22.01.2022 Even if youve never been part of our reviews youre encouraged to be part of the biggest thing the City does- review strategic plans!! What does that mean you might ask?? Its about defining the long term priorities for the City and seeing what were doing well, what we should do Elsa of and what else we can consider. We will have online workshops, face to face and surveys too!

21.01.2022 Sometimes when an issue affects an entire community you need to sit up and stand up for whats right. Tonight I showed support to Cockburn and their community and Im so grateful to have been asked about elected members against racism and discrimination a group many elected members are part of who want to ensure racism and discrimination is removed from Local Brooke O'Donnell (EMARAD). We are after all representing the entire community. So much I have seen and heard causes me worry and I aspire to see our vibrant inclusive and harmonious community that celebrates all that is great about our communities . Heres to the journey!
