25.01.2022 Please take care in light of tomorrow’s weather forecast and extreme and catastrophic fire danger ratings across SA.
23.01.2022 How brilliant to see Campbelltown City Council (SA) Resident Ashlee Leach who is also one of our Campbelltown Youth (SA) Advisory Committee members listed among 25 South Australian Ceiling Smashers: Young and Inspirational! Ashlee has incredible energy, talent and enthusiasm, and a very bright future ahead of her. Well done Ashlee!
21.01.2022 Last night Campbelltown City Council (SA) successfully declared a climate emergency, as moved by Elena Casciano - Councillor Campbelltown City Council and seconded by Sue Irvine for Campbelltown. I’m proud that majority supported this. There is work to be done and no doubt difficult challenges lie ahead, but we’ve taken the first step to acknowledge there’s an issue.
21.01.2022 Excellent work Vincent Tarzia - Member for Hartley and Stephan Knoll no doubt that these additional carparks will be appreciated by Paradise Interchange users, and hopefully will encourage more people to utilise our public transport services. I hope serious consideration is given to preserving significant trees at this site, or revegetation if these additional carparks involve removal of more trees.
16.01.2022 This ANZAC Day, join in the commemorations from home (or your driveway), with Campbelltown Council’s livestream of the Dawn Service. More info below
14.01.2022 I know many dog owners near Murray Park Oval in Magill are keen to see another Dog Park in our area... let Council know what you think in the link below!

11.01.2022 Our community’s wellbeing is at the forefront of everything we do in Campbelltown. It is unfortunate that the The ARC Campbelltown has to close, but a necessary decision for the health and safety of others. Please take care during these uncertain and unprecedented times.
11.01.2022 A few weekends ago I had the pleasure of witnessing Reid Avenue be transformed by these beautiful stobie pole artworks, as organised by 2030 Species in conjunction with the Campbelltown Arthouse Inc. in true community spirit. These colourful pieces have made such a difference to the streetscape, I encourage you to take a walk and have a look for yourself! The intent of this independent community project is to raise awareness about SA's most threatened native species, "by painting these at-risk birds and animals in public spaces it's hoped that community interest will lead to environmental protection of these species." Credit to Asbjorn Kanck for the first two photos.

09.01.2022 Happy International Women’s Day, where the theme for 2020 is #eachforequal, highlighting that gender equality & equity benefits everyone. At Campbelltown City Council (SA) we are fortunate to have majority female representation; with Jill Whittaker Campbelltown Mayor, our first female mayor in 150 years leading us with vision and wisdom, as well as 6 capable and strong female Ward Councillors working hard for their community. To celebrate International Women’s Day, council ...staff and volunteers have created the ‘Women of Campbelltown’ project - featuring 10 inspiring stories of local women, their achievements and contributions to the community. To read about their stories, visit https://bit.ly/330HJJd. In the words of UN Women, together, we need to mobilize to end gender-based violence; we are calling for economic justice and rights for all; bodily autonomy, sexual and reproductive health and rights; and feminist action for climate justice. We want technology and innovation for gender equality; and feminist leadership. Here’s to a near future when a truly "each for equal" may exist for all, in board rooms, parliaments and all power structures across the world.
02.01.2022 Happy Holidays from your Hectorville Ward Councillors, John Kennedy and Luci Blackborough.
