25.01.2022 We've made the call, and are sorry to say the Cradle Mountain Film Festival is cancelled this April 3-5 2020 While the mountain air is fresh, we're not confident that gathering and celebrating are the best things to do right now. Full refunds are being issued to ticket holders. We'll see you on the mountain next year, happy and healthy! Canyoning tours are still running and we have trips every day until the end of April.

23.01.2022 In case you're wondering, yes we are still running canyoning tours at the moment. We think that small group tours in the outdoors are low risk and will keep running them until the end of April if we can. Obviously, we are getting a lot of cancellations and many of you will be changing your travel plans. Thanks very much to those of you who have rescheduled to next year or opted to have vouchers issued, rather than going for the refund. It is going to be tough times ahead for many small businesses and every lit bit helps. Stay well and we hope to see you in a canyon sometime soon.

23.01.2022 A few happy snaps from yesterday's and today's tours in three different canyons. A little something for everyone.

22.01.2022 We're heading out canyoning this Wednesday for the first time since March! And there are two spots available. It is going to be a fantastic day out in Machinery Canyon with two guides and a max of four clients. The tour costs $275 per person and that includes lunch and photos of the trip. I wouldn't say it is going to be tropical in there, but we will certainly be rugging up, and with a small group we will keep things moving. Machinery Canyon is at a lower altitude to our oth...er trips and extra fun this time of year with a bit of extra juice in the creek. We will be abseiling down six waterfalls. You will definitely get wet, but you can stay out of the drink most of the time. You can book online or give us a call on 1300032384. Get in quick, as there are only two spots available.

17.01.2022 Dropping into Big Cheese in Phoenix Gorge today. Josh here is about to let go of the rope and slide the second half of the fall.

17.01.2022 We have officially kicked off canyoning season at Cradle Mountain. Conditions were perfect in Dove Canyon yesterday.

16.01.2022 Canyoning season is almost upon us. We have a few trips out in Oct before we really get cranking in Nov. St Aloysius College joined for a jaunt through Machinery Canyon yesterday. High water levels made for a challenging day, but this crew nailed it.

13.01.2022 We had a lovely trip out in Dove Canyon today, but it might be out last mid-week tour for a while. With no mainlanders coming our way for the foreseeable, we are cutting back to weekend tours only. Hopefully some of you Tassie folk are keen for a splash with us on a weekend sometime in the next month! A few photos here from today's tour.

12.01.2022 Just realised we haven't posted anything on the socials since the world stopped spinning a few months ago, so here's a canyoning photo to brighten your Tuesday. Cradle Mountain Canyons will celebrate its 10th birthday this season (they grow up so fast), and we can't wait to get stuck into it. We're hoping for lots of locals to fill the international tourist shaped hole in our tours this year, and to encourage our infamously tight compatriots to hand over the dosh and come for a splash with us, we're offering free photos to any Tasmaniac who comes on a tour. Just show us your scar and the pics are yours (usually 40 bucks).

10.01.2022 Thanks to Alex and Alex for coming for a splash in Machinery Canyon today. It was nice to get out of the house for our first tour since March. We don't have any advertised tours until November, but we can always go on request if conditions permit.

06.01.2022 High water in Dove Canyon today. Great times in these weird times. We've got trips tomorrow, Tuesday, and then only on the weekends from there on.

02.01.2022 You may have noticed in the news that one of our guides and a great mate of ours is missing at sea after the ship he was on sunk in a typhoon off the coast of Japan. Anyone who knows Will, including many of our clients who have been on a tour with him in the last three years, would testify to what a humble, generous and wonderful person he is. We are all so sad about the news and thinking of his family. ... Friends and family of Will and other crew on the ship are holding onto hope that they may still be alive - a hope based in large part on two life boats being unaccounted for, which they could plausibly be in. A group has formed to desperately pursue any avenue that may help to find survivors, including making use of satellite and drone technology. Please consider donating to the cause on the below link. We are thinking of Will and his family and clinging onto hope. https://gf.me/u/yyx9m5
