21.01.2022 Introducing my dear friend, Chris Boston, Original Doll Artist Extraordinaire! Chris has now been sculpting for over 30 years but, please dont tell her that I... told you as, she says that it makes her feel old. Lol Chris has won numerous awards throughout Australia and she has also exhibited internationally. Every face, every hand and every foot is hand-sculpted from polymer clay for each doll; she then makes a wire armature body for each doll; wraps it in dacron to give it shape and then, she creates all of the clothes for each character, using a combination of new and recycled fabrics and embellishments. The characters in this years exhibition represent 3 years work for Chris and have to be seen, to be bee-lieved! "Do You Bee-lieve?" A Magical Christmas Wonderland, is now open until January 21 at Old Petrie Town with more than 100 of Chriss amazing characters to see!
