24.01.2022 Another couple of thank you to give out today, Allisha from 3 little hippies was so generous to make our Healing Hands labels for our Quilts and Blankets. She printed well over 300 labels! We love them and if you need any labels for your quilts or any personalised items check out her page. Ill add a link in the comments.... The second thank you I have today is for Krista Leonard. Krista helped me out by designing a personalised graphic for the quilt Im working on. Krista has also designed the gorgeous Koala in the image. She is selling the design for anyone to use and all proceeds are going to the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital. Link will be in comments. Thanks so much to everyone who is helping us with our project, it is much appreciated!!

20.01.2022 Hi Crafty Adventurers, We hope you are coping ok with isolation. I have been doing a big stocktake and have found some things that might make your time at home a bit more manageable... We had ordered a heap of Books for our Arne & Carlos Cruise so we have lots available for you to look at there, we also found some extra yarn from previous cruises, so we have put together some kits that are definitely worth a look! Im also putting in some orders over the next few days for all... our knit pro favourites and Malabrigo Sock & Mechita yarn, so if what you want is out of stock please let me know and I will try to add it to my order. We are going to stock Rowans Magazines too, they are amazing! If you saw Arne & Carlos video on the weekend they showed off their new cushions. If youd like a copy of that magazine please let me know so I can make sure we get enough stock for everyone. 15.01.2022 Just a quick reminder that we are donating 20% of all sales (in January) on our website to the Shoalhaven Mayoral Fund. She is supporting our fire affected families as well as local business. We are also donating 40% of all Crafty Adventures Merchandise sold! We are hoping to be featured on the Turia Pitt #spendwiththem campaign soon so if you want to grab something from our website I would do it now. ... You would be really helping us support our families as well while we are donating so much of our work and private time to the CA Healing Hands project. Check out our shop page at https://www.craftyadventures.com.au/s/shop Thanks so much! Paula & Jo

15.01.2022 Dont miss out on the Deal of a lifetime!

13.01.2022 I want to say a massive thanks to everyone who has sent quilts and blankets for our Healing Hands project. We have been overwhelmed by the donations and they are still coming! Im sorry I cant reply to everyone individually (that would be a full time job) but we are so very grateful! We had a request today from a young couple who are having their first baby in 3 weeks. It was so great to be able to just open a box and find quilts that we know they will love. ... See all these boxes and theres many more bags and parcels behind that glass door, This is only half the quilts in my house plus theres more at Jos! Its getting a bit tricky to walk in my front door lol. Once again, I apologise for not being able to message you all as they arrive but know that we are doing our best to get your handmade goodies to those that need them. Crafty Hugs Paula and Jo xxx

12.01.2022 EDIT: Bookings are now open for our retreat. You can book here - www.craftyadventures.com.au/retreats. We are almost ready to take bookings for our first Crafty Adventures Healing Hands Retreat here on the South Coast of NSW. It will include 3 night accommodation (3.5 - 4 star) in beachfront hotels in Mollymook 3-6 March. ... We will have 2 included group dinners at local restaurants on the Tuesday and Thursday as well as our local trivia night on the Wednesday (youll need to buy dinner at the club that night - their Wednesday night special is a $9 chicken schnitty and chips or theres lots of other options). There will be workshops each day (morning and afternoon Wednesday, half days on Thursday and Friday) where we will work on completing quilts and blankets to give to the local families whove lost their homes. Our workshops will take place in the Golf clubs function room overlooking the stunning Mollymook beach. Youll get gift vouchers for you to shop in local boutique stores, and theres an option to visit the Milton Show on the Friday (the Showgrounds are currently full of donated goods, but the show committee have confirmed to me that at this stage the show is going ahead). You can also support local cafes and restaurants by eating out for breakfast and lunch each day. We will offer optional transfers to get you from Sydney or Canberra with local south coast transfer companies if you arent able to drive yourselves, and we can even extend your stay for a couple of extra nights so you can make a weekend of it. All of this means that every cent will be contributing to the local economy here on the south coast. We will post a link to the booking form on our website at around 12pm AEDT tomorrow (Wednesday 15 January). With all of the interest we have had we expect that the available places will sell out quickly. If/when they do, we will do it all again a week or two later. Let us know if you have any questions. We cant WAIT to welcome you all to our beautiful home town!!!

11.01.2022 Maude has had a crocheted blanket on her bed for nearly 90 years! Every night since she was 5 years old Maude was blanketed in warmth by a handmade expression of true love! The fire at Yatte Yattah on New Years Eve took her beloved blanket and everything else she owned. Maude only just escaped in her night dress and singlet. She didnt even have her false teeth in or shoes on as her heritage listed home was "swallowed" by the fire.... Because of YOU we were able to give Maude and her son Jimmy (who saved her) a beautiful handmade blanket, made with loving healing hands. Thank you so much to everyone who has sent and is making a blanket/quilt to donate to our #CAhealinghandsproject you really are changing lives! How fitting that I was wearing my favourite #MissouriStarQuiltCo T-shirt. We are all Quilting Now and sleeping later! Please keep making and sending you Blankets and Quilts, we NEED to give a piece of Handmade love to every single person who lost their homes. We would love you to spread the word, we need everyone to see how much of a difference we are making to our fire ravaged community! Crafty hugs Paula & Jo xxx

11.01.2022 Thank you!! Our first Healing Hands recipient has had a Crocheted blanket on her bed for nearly 90 YEARS! We were able to get a blanket back on her bed because of you! #CAhealinghandsproject

10.01.2022 Thanks so much to Julie Cruden, Kelly aka Crafty Pug, Tracy Ebsary, Trudy Seca, Shirley Lofts and Kelly Bunyon for Fridays and todays deliveries to my house. They are all gorgeous! I love Trudys idea of attaching the ball band of the yarn she used. Its fantastic as it shows what her blankets are made from but also the care instructions. ... Our stock of quilts and blankets are growing and we are so grateful! Crafty hugs Paula Ps. We are trying to photograph all of the donations as they come in but please forgive us if we miss the odd one. xxx

08.01.2022 Im in a little bit of shock right now, but guess who is the lead story on 9Honeys website! Yep Jo and I just did an interview with the gorgeous Maddison. Head over to the website for a read xxx

06.01.2022 Judes Story - Jude is a friend of our mum (Nan). She unfortunately lost her home in the fires at Malua Bay. To make things even worse, her insurance wont cover the full cost to rebuilt as her street will now be classified as a fire prone area and extra fire safety regulations are too expensive. She has decided to leave our area and move to be closer to family... A very tough decision Im sure.... Nan and Judy caught up today and we were able to get one of the stunning quilts we have received into Judes hands. As Jude was leaving she was about to duck into the bathroom and Nan offered to hold onto her quilt. She said "Thanks but no, Id like to keep it with me." We are seeing a lot of "Its Mine" from our bushfire survivors. It brings so much comfort to our recipients to have something that they own, thats just for them! So please keep sending your quilts and Blankets, they are being treasured! Note: Approval to publish Judes story on facebook was happily offered.

05.01.2022 Another family who we are so excited to have helped with our Healing Hands Project! Jo and I were feeling a bit overwhelmed with our little project and our other commitments so we finally decided to accept some help! Janet has been a friend of our familys for many years and when she offered to take some of the deliveries to store and distribute from her house we gratefully accepted!... Janet was able to gift these gorgeous blankets to a family who lost everything in Lake Conjola. Here is the message I received from Janet about Super Nan and Lyn Lyn and Super Nan absolutely delighted with their Quilts, many thanks to all the people out there who have made these quilts and blankets.

01.01.2022 This is not something we would normally share, but our hearts are broken. Jo and I have 4 kids each and we just cant imagine what the family are going through. Yesterday a beautiful 15 year old girl, Zoie, from our kids high school was hit and killed by a school bus. ... Jo lives no more than 100 metres from where it happened and Zoie was one of my daughters best friends. One of her brothers is my sons best friend. The whole family is so loved by our community. We are, as Im sure you can imagine devastated! A go fund me has been set up to pay for funeral expenses and to support Zoies mum and 4 brothers. We would be so incredibly grateful if you could spare a dollar or 2. Please give your family an extra hug tonight xxx Love Paula and Jo xxx https://gf.me/u/ydgqzz

01.01.2022 Hi guys, Jo and I have decided we need to take the weekend to give our kids lots of attention and to maybe spend a little time actually making stuff.... ohh the thought of relaxing with a needle or hook, I feel better already! So we will not be around as much this weekend to answer questions so quickly.... If you have any questions relating to our Healing Hands retreat however please message us through our website and we will get back to you asap. We hope you all have an amazing weekend! 01.01.2022 Just wanted to let everyone know that Ive been in touch with Kimberley Murray this afternoon. She is in Canberra and could potentially be affected by power outages and evacuation with the bush fires there tonight and this weekend. She is worried about the people she has promised invoices to tonight. Ive told her not to worry and that you will all understand. We arent travelling for several more months on the trips shes working on, so safety is first priority right now. We know what youre going through Kim - so to you and all of our Crafty Adventures family in Canberra - stay safe, and dont worry about anything else right now. Xxx
