10.01.2022 Had the honour of court mounting these WWII veterans war medals. This Soldier was a part of the RAAF and was a aircraft mechanic who saw active service at Papua New Guinea.

05.01.2022 Recently made up a set of WW1 medals for a family member of a soldier who served at Gallipoli. It was a privilege to make these replica medals, and thank you Robey for providing a overview of Private Freckleton. It is important to know and never forget the soldier's story behind the Medals. Private Joseph Freckleton... Enlisted on 8 March 1915 and was posted to the 25th Battalion, 7th Brigade, 2nd Division. He sailed to Egypt June 1915 and was sent to the Gallipoli Peninsula in September 1915. Joined 49th Battalion, 13th Brigade, 4th Division in April 1916. He moved north to Strazelle in 1916 and served with Divisional Police. Reassigned to the 49th Battalion, he fought in the trenches in June 1916 and again at the Battle for Mouquet Farm, which sustained heavy casualties. The 49th Battalion saw action at Dernancourt in late March 1918 , withstanding the German offensive. The 49th was a part of the second battle of Dernancourt, April 1918. The Battalion launched counter attack against the Germans and successfully dislodged the Germans from Villers-Bretonneux in late April. Returned to Australia May 1919 Discharged in Brisbane 14 July 1919 Lest we forget.
