25.01.2022 Not quite green, not quite yellow. Chartreuse is such a beautiful colour. To me it represents new life in the garden and is reminiscent of smashed avocado. Yum yum! #spinnersofinstagram #handdyedwool #soulcraft

22.01.2022 I've added some new botanical dyed and hand spun yarns to the website. This one here is a handspun ombre dyed with madder and beetroot and has a fibre content of Wool, alpaca and silk. #knittersofinstagram #botanicalyarn #botanicalartist #botanicaldyersofinstagram #weaversofinstagram

21.01.2022 I'm here preparing lots of packages thismorning to post to lovely folk and it occurred to me that you all might like to see what I wrap your goodies in. You know me, I love simple beauty and especially something that's enviro friendly. I use recycled papers, 100% biodegradable cellotapes and cello bags, natural fibre bags and string. I also love reusing post bags and boxes. Many of these goodies come from #buyecogreen in Sydney if you're after a good supplier yourself xo

11.01.2022 Waste not my friends. If there's one thing I love the most it is taking a raw material and turning it into something beautiful and functional. I have just finished a batch or hand-carved shawl pins from recycled timber. I carved this one from cypress pine. Tricky to carve because it can split but worth the effort. #craftvictoria #shawlknitters #fibrecrafts #upcycled

10.01.2022 It's not as sinister as it looks! I'm in the fibre studio today dyeing lots of lovely silk to make magical blends next week. This is recycled sari silk roving soaking in concentrated avocado pit dye. #spinnersofinstagram #botanicalartist #botanicaldyersofinstagram #textileartistaustralia

10.01.2022 Still looks sinister but a little less so perhaps? Out of the dye bath and rinced ready to hang up to dry. Avocado on recycled sari silk. #dyersofinstagram #textileartistaustralia #weaversofinstagram

05.01.2022 I love all the yarn crafts from weaving to nålbinding but there is one thing that I really don't like. Dealing with ENDS! I have tried many techniques of the years from dealing with them and I have FINALLY found my favourite technique THE RUSSIAN NEEDLE JOIN and just had to share it thanks to this wonderful youtuber: https://youtu.be/NHx9AyRnM4A

You can choose either the A4 or letter size, whichever is best for your printer. Head to the blog post to get the download links. Happy spinning my friends! xo https://www.craftypossums.com.au//yarn-spinners-record-she

04.01.2022 Soooo many yummy yarns to photograph and upload. It is very hard to stay focused when I just want to grab a bundle, rug up on the lounge and work them into beautiful things. But I'll share, I promise! Haha. What would make? #knittersofravelry #botanicaldyersofinstagram #weaversofinstagram #yarnaddict

03.01.2022 When you work with colour all day as an artist it feels a bit wrong to have a favorite. But mustard keeps cropping up! This fresh eco dyed squishy corriedale is just one of many in my new repeatable hand dyed colour range. #mustard #spinning #textileartists

02.01.2022 My camera can't handle the vibrancy of these gorgeous hues! While the clay projects from yesterday dry, I've moved on to some weaving for the upcoming markets. These are the ingredients for a new shawl on the loom today featuring recycled fibres. #recycledfashion #recycledmaterials #artistsalburywodonga #murrayarts #pinkywittingslow
