16.01.2022 LOCAL FIRE BAN South West Region Due to heightened fire conditions, a local fire ban has been imposed for the following Local Government Areas from 0005 h...ours Friday (04/12/2020). Toowoomba Southern Downs Goondiwindi Western Downs Maranoa Murweh Quilpie Bulloo Paroo Balonne The ban will remain in place until 2355 hours on Tuesday (8/12/2020). Under a local fire ban, open fires are prohibited and all Permits to Light Fire which have been issued in the designated areas have been cancelled.

11.01.2022 Help us out! Found! Loved furry friend (of a slightly different kind) This little Bunny was on the side of the Highway in Highfields. We think he or she may ...have escaped from her small owner’s hand or left a passing car (we certainly hope she wasn’t dumped!) While she’s stayed with us she’s had a full check over with Dr Emma, met some of the inpatients and had a nice bath and blowdry in our grooming room. She’s looking and spic and span to go home today! She has no microchip details so we need your help to reconnect her with her rightful owner. Please share so she can find her way home!
