22.01.2022 Some more photos from Hydeaway Bay Craigo

21.01.2022 This is Boathaven Beach, man made, and located in Ailie Beach. If you are coming here for a holiday, it is worth visiting, as it is all tidal access. There is a stinger net provided during the summer months. Craigo

12.01.2022 This is Hideaway Bay, about 40km north of Airlie Beach. There are 2 resorts located there. One of 3 places on the east coast, where the sun sets over the water. There is also a caravan park at Hideaway Bay, & accommodation at nearby Dingo Beach. Well worth the visit. Craigo

09.01.2022 This is the northern end of awesome Whitehaven Beach. Hill Inlet Lookout offers this gorgeous view. This area was the playground for the local children from the Ngaro Tribe. The white silica sands are almost 100% silica, and never heats up, so no footwear necessary. Regularly voted one of the top 10 beaches in the world. Craigo

04.01.2022 Welcome to Stockyard (Chalkies) Beach, Haselwood Is. Close to Whitehaven, with great snorkelling close to the beach. Named in 1879, sheep and pigs were once tried to farm, however not suitable vegetation. Some Aboriginal middens can also be found here. The last photo is of a memorial, to pay respect to a sailor who had his ashes scattered in the sea. Craigo.
