13.01.2022 Once again Food Link is on a mission to support our community through lock-down. For those of you unfamiliar with Food Link the concept is to raise funds to pay... local hospitality businesses who have been negatively impacted by the pandemic, to make meals for people who are doing it tough also as a result of the pandemic. All money donated is spent with 9 local hospitality businesses and helps to provide much-needed cashflow and work for their staff. The meals produced are then donated to and distributed by several different agencies who are well-positioned to deliver to those most in need. Meal recipients include the homeless, the elderly, refugees and asylum seekers, those who have recently lost their job and many more people in our community who find isolation particularly challenging. During the first lock-down Food Link raised $44,000 and delivered 3,660 meals.
