14.01.2022 Gisborne resident for >25years, with three adult children whose working career commenced as a legal secretary, moved into finance industry managing annual budgets and operations of a very busy Sydney branches as bank manager. I have a partial UNI degree in Planning & Environment. Extremely active within the Macedon Ranges community for the past 20 years on planning and environmental issues e.g. Hanging Rock/Macedon Lodge/Nexus Centre. ... I’ve made major & minor submissions on strategic and general planning issues within MRS including Gisborne/New Gisborne C67 & Romsey C66 strategic planning scheme amendments, all my recommendations adopted. I’ve assisted with VCAT case preparation & residents with council planning matters. Individually I’ve prepared a VCAT case & represented resident/s as an advocate. 12.01.2022 We are living in challenging and changing times. A truly genuine independent candidate I am not affiliated or aligned with any political party, group or other candidate. As a resident of Gisborne for >25 years with 3 adult children, I am asking for your support to become YOUR Council representative. ... You need Councillors who will advocate for stronger rural standards so we can better defend our towns ensuring they don’t become just another suburb. Rural character and natural environment are why we choose to live here; they shouldn’t be sacrificed in the name of ‘progress’ I get that. I am a person of action and integrity a strong and passionate character I care deeply for the Macedon Ranges and what we leave for our future generations. For 20 years I have been active in working for things we value e.g., preservation of the oaks on Robertson street, protections for Hanging Rock ,saving Macedon House ,to name a few. Individually I presented to State Planning hearing panel for C67 Gisborne/New Gisborne ODP planning scheme amendment. All recommendations made for C66 Romsey ODP (strategic) Planning scheme amendment were adopted by council in full, no panel hearing presentation required. A new footpath installed along Kilmore road, near the bowling club, no more traipsing thru mud and puddles. . 7 years of wildlife rescue as a volunteer. I reiterate I am passionate about ‘my’ Macedon Ranges, your Macedon Ranges and I would be honoured to by your representative on council that is if you put me as your number 1 preference on your ballot paper.
