24.01.2022 The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) has released the fourth annual report on Indigenous eye health measures. Some key improvements include: 30% of Indigenous Australians had an eye health check in 201819 increasing from 11% in 2010-11 Around 44% of Indigenous Australians who had a diabetes test were screened for diabetic retinopathy in 201819 The cataract surgery rate for Indigenous Australians increased by 42% between 200810 and 201618...
