24.01.2022 Zagames Open at Casey Fields The Zagames Open Round Robin Tennis Tournament was another huge success. We had kids from all over, showing tennis is alive and we...ll. Covid had no effect as kids played their hearts out, enjoying almost perfect weather. In the juniors we had plenty of great matchups and some thrilling results. Some having their first victories and others another title. Our Men’s and Ladies events had some extremely high skilled players. Alex again taking out the title with last years champion Coco being defeated in the final. Huge thanks to all our players and Zagames for being yet again a terrific sponsor of our tournaments. Thanks to Brooke Majera for cooking the BBQ and Matt Hession for supervising her cooking. Looking forward to next years event already. 23.01.2022 IN THE WORDS OF GEORGE CASTANZA IM BACK BABY Cranbourne Tennis Club Now Open It’s been about 11 weeks since our club was closed. Happy to say we are open as o...f now. Combination locks are on the gates, sign in sheet is on the club house. Unfortunately courts 6 to 12 are out of action due to no maintenance on them. We have sprayed and will continue to work on them every day to get them open. We can only stay open if we all follow the rules and work together. CLUB RULES AS OF TODAY: 1. YOU MUST SIGN IN ON ARRIVAL AT THE COURTS. Located at the northern door of clubhouse. 2. No more than 10 people may be playing at any one time at our club. This does not include coaches. 3. Only players from 2 different households are allowed to play against each other. 4. Use of private coaches baskets or buckets is not allowed as equipment being balls must not mix with other players. If no one is around commonsense would say you can but pack immediately if someone arrives. 5. Due to only 5 courts available be respectful that others would love to play. Limit your hits to 30mins to 1 hour so others can enjoy the club. 6. If your waiting please wait off the courts. 7. 1.5 metre social distance. 8. No high fives or hand shaking. 9. Sanitise before/after touching the gates/locks. Coaches will be sending out some messages for private/semi-private lessons only at this stage. Great to be back and can’t wait to see you at the courts. Please follow instructions from committee and coaches. Breaches or failure to comply may result in suspensions or cancellation of membership.

22.01.2022 BDTA Winter junior competition has been cancelled due to the current pandemic. I’m sure the executive had a difficult time making the decision and I thank them for their efforts and dedication to the sport. Hopefully we can look forward to a big return for the Summer Season. This weeks squad is starting with some rain but still promises to be a great event with plenty of kids. 16.01.2022 Dear Members & Friends, We are sure you have heard the announcement from Premier Dan Andrews today, with the great news that tennis clubs in Metro Melbourne are permitted to open from 11:59pm October 18th. Whilst we are ecstatic about the announcement, we do still require official clearance from the City of Casey to re-open the facility . ... We will endeavour to update you on when the courts will be open for play as soon as we receive the green light. In preparation for re-opening, we want to remind you of the COVID-safe practices and policies for players to follow: Players from two households or up to four per court if from same household. No hiring of equipment i.e rackets, balls, ball machine. Inside community facilities closed (this includes toilets & change-rooms but these amenities will be made available from next step - 1st November). A parent is allowed to enter facility with their child who is having a lesson if they are under 18 years old. All players must sign in PRIOR to play at the clubhouse.
