25.01.2022 It's a menacing hole when standing on the tee, particulary with a breeze around. Aleisha clearly took the advice of 'don't miss left, and definitely don't miss right' and made it super simple! Very proud here at Cranbourne

Due to social distancing restrictions we've been assured that his playing partners definitely, absolutely, swear on their putters, didn't even consider giving him any high fives....

20.01.2022 Great news - our (Melbourne Metro) Members can still travel to the Club to get their exercise at Cranbourne Golf Club! "If you are a Member of a Golf Club it is not unreasonable to travel to that Club to play golf" - Dan Andrews 17/07/20

17.01.2022 Post to CGC Members only: With the excitement of today's announcement that we can play golf again (from Wednesday), the website and booking system has gone into meltdown statewide They are trying to rectify the issue at the moment, but expect that it could continue until the traffic decreases.... If you can't load the website this is why and the only thing you can do is to try again later. Not the smooth return that we would have liked, but we're almost back to golf so just smile, be patient and think happy thoughts

17.01.2022 Our New Club Entrance is open 750 Glasscocks Road. Glasscocks Road runs off Narre Warren Cranbourne road, just north of the Thompsons Road intersection. Golf Club Road, the old entrance from the South Gippsland Highway is now closed.

08.01.2022 The weather yesterday provided a great base for our 'Spring' greens renovations. The Course Team used 12mm solid tines to aerate the putting surfaces, then swept sand in to fill the holes. Should be rolling very well once we can return to our golfing oasis

08.01.2022 70 Members & Guests enjoyed our Ladies Guest Day at the Club yesterday, followed by a lovely lunch with presentations. Congratulations to our Member/Guest Winners Sue Cameron (Member) & Daphne Georgoussis (Guest) with 44pts, with Kerry Oechsle (Member) & Glenys Bryce Runners Up on 43pts. 03.01.2022 Statement from the Club on today's media reports: 'Many of you would have seen articles and clips in today's media about vandalism found on our 4th green yesterday morning. Our Course Staff arrived before first light to prepare the course for play and found that offensive images had been spray painted onto the green. These consisted of foul language, phallic drawings and of most concern, swastikas.... Everyone at the Club has great pride in the foundation of Cranbourne Golf Club in the early 1950's by a group from the Jewish Community, as a not-for-profit Club where 'everyone is welcome' regardless of race, religion, faith or gender. The only prerequisite is that our Members be of good character. It is for this reason more than any other that we find this vandalism abhorrent in it's nature and unacceptable in any forum, at any time. The Club has acted quickly, immediately removing this hole from play and utilising our short game area as a temporary 19th hole, to avoid any inconvenience for our Members who are loving their golf again after the break. Our Course Staff are painting over the graffiti with specialised turf paint, and it is expected to be back in play for the weekend. The Club has reported the matter to police, who have increased patrols in the areas in and around the Club, and also to the Anti-Defamation Commission.'

02.01.2022 When Sue Cameron & Anne Bydder arrived at the Par 3 14th hole early this morning they found Course Staff Shaun & Michael working on the hole. Each backed one of the Ladies for closest to the pin as they often do as they had moved out of the line of play anyway. As always, Michael backed Sue and Shaun had Anne. Sue hit first and it looked to be very close, but Anne also hit well. Not believing each other as to who had won the bet, the boys drove up to the green to find that Michael was the winner, as Sue had put it in for a Hole-in-One! Safe to say that some people are enjoying lock-down more than others!
