Entering his 3rd year at CMCC and a District Premiership player, Vish will bring fresh ideas with a continued focus on building strength and depth across the playing group as well as working with our up and coming juniors as they transition into seniors. 20.01.2022 UPDATE: Great news!! Thanks to the swift work of the Casey council, we can announce we have been given the approval to use Lawson Poole Res and start training. Albeit, with strict council guidelines in place. We will start with an info/training session on Thursday 29th at 6pm. Followed by training on Tuesday 3rd & Thursday 5th, commencing at 6pm. Juniors will start training on Thursday 5th at 4.30pm. We require all parents to be in attendance to receive further information a...bout the season ahead. It is vital you all read up on Cricket Victoria’s website in regards to training and playing guidelines so you all have an understanding of the requirements that will be in place. There will also be club branded reusable masks on sale for $12 ea or 2 for $20. We look forward to seeing everyone over the coming days. Seniors Training Update The committee welcomes the State Government news and is excited by the prospect of getting the season underway. We are still awaiting approval from Casey Council, but we are anticipating a return to senior training from Thursday 29th October at 6pm (To be confirmed). Please familiarise yourself with the COVID-19 protocols (via the link below) and follow accordingly to ensure we provide a safe environment for all members and don't jeopardise the season. 05.01.2022 Unfortunately the easing of restrictions today did not include the return to training for cricket, this is now scheduled to be on November 1st. The club will now reset for this date & assuming the easing takes place on November 1st the club will commence training for seniors on Thursday 5th with juniors to start the following week. We will have to wait and see if this alters the start date to the home and away season, I’m sure over the next few days there will be more news co...ming through from the WGCA & relevant parties. Please be patient and stay positive that there will be a 20/21 cricket season and continue to register on My Cricket via the link below. as this will help greatly in deciding how many teams we enter and in what grades (something the club needs to submit very soon). Remember, if you need someone to talk to you can turn to your fellow members for a chat, we, are all here to support one another and get through these very trying times together. There are also many support lines that are there for anyone at anytime. The uncertainty surrounding the return to cricket for the 20/21 season seems quite insignificant given what is currently happening in Melbourne and around the world. Howev...er, we must continue forward and prepare as best we can. The club asks all players, juniors and seniors, to register now to help the club forecast for the season ahead. REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!! Given the uncertainty of the season there is a (zero) payment amount on My Cricket. Once we know a start date for the season we will set and ask fees be paid then, payment will be direct to the club. (Juniors, when registering will have to pay a $5.00 insurance levy direct to My Cricket). For anyone new wanting to play cricket for CMCC, the club welcomes & encourages you to register.
