24.01.2022 You’re invited to fight back against cancer online through Relay Australia! Due To COVID-19 a number of Relay For Life events in 2020 have unfortunately had to be cancelled. Whilst we are hopeful that the Cranbourne Narre event can go ahead in November, we would love to have you join us on the track this June by participating in Relay Australia. Through Relay Australia you can help us all move the virtual baton around the country, with every dollar donated moving it 1km. You... can also post photos and messages on our Tribute Wall to celebrate and remember your loved ones. If you choose to make a donation and would like this to be put towards your teams total at the Melbourne event this year, just fill in the ‘Team’ box on the donation form and we can arrange that for you. Together, let's make it to 20 laps by 25 June, and take a step towards a cancer free future. www.relayaustralia.com.au

22.01.2022 It’s understandable to be anxious about visiting the doctor or attending follow-up appointments at this time, however detecting and treating cancer early can save your life. Health workers are doing everything possible to make care safe, so if you have any symptoms, don’t delay talking to a doctor: https://bit.ly/2Q2WDZJ #DontDelayGetChecked

19.01.2022 Our wonderful friends and major sponsors Grill'd Casey Central are open for takeaway and delivery. Grill'd were a huge support to us in our 2019 Relay For Life event and continue to support us this year. Thank you Grill'd for helping us with the fight against cancer.

18.01.2022 We wish you all love, peace, happiness and hope as we head into the new year. We are here 24/7 to support you - never hesitate to reach out for anything at anytime

18.01.2022 Whether it's mum's potato bake or singing carols around the neighbourhood, fill in the blank and tell us your favourite Christmas tradition

17.01.2022 Great idea for Relay !

16.01.2022 Given the current level of uncertainty around restrictions on events and public gatherings, Cancer Council Victoria has made the decision to cancel the Cranbourne-Narre Relay For Life, which was scheduled for November. We truly share your disappointment, but the safety and wellbeing of the community, as well as that of volunteers and staff, are always the most important considerations for us. All your amazing fundraising, including registration fees, will be recognised this ...year to ensure they go towards funding vital services as soon as possible, but please be assured that all registrations will be rolled over to the 2021 event, so you won’t need to pay again to take part. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. The ongoing support of the Relay For Life community has been as inspiring as ever. If you have any questions, please get in touch by emailing [email protected] or calling 1300 65 65 85.

16.01.2022 Share your cancer care telehealth experiences with us. We would like to talk to people about their experiences with telehealth appointments for cancer care. Cancer Council is working with health services across Victoria and Deakin University researchers to understand what cancer patients and their carers think of telehealth. This research aims to explore what patients and carers think is good about telehealth, what isn’t working and how telehealth services can be improved. P...articipating in this research provides you with a valuable opportunity to help improve the telehealth experience for all Victorians affected by cancer. To find out more and register for an interview slot, visit cancervic.org.au/a/stories/telehealth-research-project.html If you have any questions about this research please contact Vicki White, lead researcher at Deakin University [email protected] or call 03 924 68522. Thank you for your interest and support to help improve cancer outcomes for all Victorians.

15.01.2022 To help us understand how the pandemic and physical distancing measures have impacted people affected by cancer, Cancer Council researchers are conducting an Australia-wide survey and we want to hear about your experience via this survey: https://www.cancercouncil.com.au//survey-cancer-patients-/

15.01.2022 We’re hoping we can come together on the Relay track in November, but you can still support people affected by cancer now when they need it most! Donate now to Relay Australia to move the virtual baton around the country, while moving all of us closer to a cancer free future. $1=1km! www.relayaustralia.com.au

14.01.2022 Congratulations to Jodie Hollis on her Australia day award this morning at Hampton Park. For all her contribution to Cranbourne Narre Relay For Life.

10.01.2022 Due to COVID-19, the Cranbourne Narre Relay For Life was sadly cancelled last year, and after consultation with the Committee, we have made the difficult decision to now close the Cranbourne Narre Relay. We want to thank everyone who took part in the Relay in previous years. We really value your generosity and recognise the hard work that goes into being part of Relay. We also want to assure you that Cancer Council will still be present in your area, continuing to deliver ca...ncer information and support services to people impacted by cancer. We would love for you to continue to join us on the track at the nearby Cardinia, Casey or Frankston & Peninsula event! If you’ve already registered for this year’s Cranbourne Narre Relay, just let us know which one you would like to join, and we can carry your registration & fundraising over to your new event. If you would like to take part in another Relay, please visit relayforlife.org.au to find one near to you. Or, visit http://www.cancervic.org.au/how-you-can-help/fundraise for other ways to get involved. Thank you again. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact Cancer Council’s Supporter Care team on 1300 65 65 85 or [email protected].
