25.01.2022 Congratulations to all of the Scouts who were recognised at today's 25th Annual Reporting and Presentation Afternoon for the Whitehorse District, Mount Dandenong Region. As District Commissioner told the 70 plus in attendance that they had not been collecting fees from the scouts and that it had been a challenging year given they are so focused normally around participatory activities. Council has done its bit to help by providing relief from fees/leases and has provided a g...rant. We congratulate the movement surviving so far this year and wish our local scouts a great 2021. PS The flag raising at the start and lowering at the end on the Zoom was well done.

24.01.2022 I was delighted today to celebrate the coming together of Mitcham Lions Club and the Cootamundra Walk Advisory committee 25 years ago. What started out as an inaugural Clean Up Australia Day activity has lead to a partnership to weed, mulch, plant and to also celebrate community. The tap in the foreground was funded by the generosity of Mitcham Lions. Well done to all.

23.01.2022 I have been asked a couple of times what do I recommend in terms of the ballot for Cootamundra. I am leaving it up to you, the two options are below. Jane Moran is a Green's candidate and I have spoken to her a couple of times. I do not know Brad Crawford. Hopefully my preferences are academic as I don't anticipate coming third.

22.01.2022 Yesterday, at the Box Hill Town Hall the VEC declared the winners for each of the 11 Wards for the 2020 Whitehorse Council elections. Congratulations to the returning and newly elected Councillors. And thank you to the Whitehorse Election Manager, Jo McCoy and her dedicated team that successfully conducted the election.

19.01.2022 The Nunawading Market is managed by Arts Nunawading Inc. Proceeds from the market support the cultural, performing and visual arts throughout the City of Whitehorse. I was pleased to visit today's market which was now able to operate having last run in February this year and shut since due to COVID-19. Great to see residents out and about today with around 50 stalls and only a brief rain shower in the middle..

19.01.2022 I am now certified to run in this year's Council Election. I have to still submit a nomination of course.

18.01.2022 This page is in hibernation until / if I am re-elected.

18.01.2022 A bit of activity this morning opposite the office of newly appointed MP, Dr Matthew Bach, Eastern Province Liberal MLC. Welcome to Blackburn and Whitehorse Matt. As far as I know no one was hurt. A fire in the shop though.

17.01.2022 This is a most positive investment your Council is making in support of our sporting clubs. We have many more to go and will be doing them over the coming years.

17.01.2022 Take a bow Amy To of Amor Mexico in Blackburn, your energy and vison got the ball rolling on this project. Lets not stop here, we can make that enviroment more inviting and a great opportunity for other businesses to get the flavour of what is possible.

16.01.2022 Why does the local Blackburn pokies venue stay open until 5am? Responsible gambling needs responsible hours.

14.01.2022 On Friday I nominated for the new Cootamundra Ward for the 2020 Whitehorse City Council Elections. I have resided within the ward my entire life. It has been my privileged to be your representative over the past three terms and believe my experience has never been more important as we manage the organisation and assist the community during the COVID-19 recovery.

14.01.2022 Tonight I was sworn-in to my forth term on Whitehorse Council. It is continually an honor to serve in the community I grew up and have raised my family. Eley Ward Trudy Skillbeck Elgar Ward Blair Baker Kingsley Ward Amanda McNiell Lake Ward Denise Massoud Mahoneys Ward Mark Lane Simpson Ward Prue Cutts Sparks Ward Tina Liu Terrara Ward Raylene Carr Walker Ward Ben Stennett Wattle Ward Andrew Davenport See more

10.01.2022 In response Amy To's post my friend posted details of Sandy Street Art (Sandringham) https://www.facebook.com/sandystreetartproject/ I have raised with our CEO and City Development GM Amy's vision for creating some outdoor space in Blackburn to help our traders get back on their feet. There is no doubt some great opportunity and with Amy's passion the sky is the limit.

09.01.2022 Six years of inaction on Box Hill Transport Interchange. The State Government set up a Ministerial Inquiry, after all this time it is not unreasonable to ask to what end. https://www.facebook.com/watch/

08.01.2022 I congratulate Jane Moran and Brad Crawford on putting themselves forward to represent the community in Cootamundra Ward, both polled strongly. It was a close run race and a humbling experience to have prevailed and be given the opportunity to serve the community which I have effectively lived all of my life. I thank those in our community who gave me their support and I commit to working hard over the term for all of my fellow residents in the Ward as well as those across the City of Whitehorse.

07.01.2022 I tried to turn my post into a Facebook Ad, but it was rejected as follows about mentioning politicians. I am the politician trying to talk about myself. Lol. I have requested a review.

06.01.2022 Almost finished letterboxing 6,000 homes in Blackburn and Blackburn North my letter and survey.

04.01.2022 The Local Government Minister has announced today that the 2020 election will proceed as planned. Election Day is October 24, but mail in ballot packs will be distributed by Australia Post starting October 6.

03.01.2022 Don't worry, we are all in this together. May 2021 be a brighter year for all. Over to the Whitehorse Couch Choir. https://www.facebook.com/whitehorsecitycouncil/videos/855080298568645
