This is why we encourage Crayons parents to send us photos for our Crayons kids to stand in front of their friends and teachers, tell their news and field questions. Helps to start early to feel comfortable speaking publicly. And we love hearing from our Crayons families, letting us know how our little Crayons are going

20.01.2022 ECA FAQsIf a family choose to keep their child at home for the next several weeks, can I waive the gap fee? No, the law does not allow you to waive the gap fee.... From the Child Care Provider Handbook: A key principle and requirement under Family Assistance Law is that all parents who receive Child Care Subsidy (CCS) should make a co-contribution to their child care fees. The Australian Government has changed the law to enable early learning and care services to waive the gap fee only if services are instructed by authorities to shut down because of COVID-19. The waiver cannot be applied while the service is still open. ECA is asking the government to apply the gap fee waiver now, to assist families and services to maintain enrolments. For parents and carers who choose to keep their child at home, the government has extended the period of allowable absences to 62 days (up from 42 days) in the financial year 2019-2020. This change is scheduled to take effect around 19 April. In addition, parents are no longer required to provide a medical certificate to claim additional absences (on top of the 62 days).
