24.01.2022 Flowers are so important for inviting garden helpers into your garden. I've seen so many different pollinators- not just bees, from this Tatsoi that is going to seed (yellow flowers) and Native Flax (purple).

24.01.2022 Did you know that pumpkins (and other cucurbits) have male and female flowers? The easiest way to tell which are girls is to look at the base of the flower. If there's a mini pumpkin, it's a girl. If not, it's a boy.

23.01.2022 Do you think we should be following the lead from those who have experienced local seasons long before Europeans came along? Very interesting and worth discovering more.

22.01.2022 Lettuce is such an easy plant to grow. While it's still cool give them sun and you'll always be ready to make a salad. As the weather warms up let some of your other plants shade them a bit to slow down bolting (going to seed). We have lettuce plants available to order. We choose leaf lettuce varieties (they don't form a head) so you can keep picking leaves over a long period and you can start harvesting within weeks not months!

21.01.2022 One of the best things about home grown food is the amazing colour varieties you'll never find in the supermarket!

21.01.2022 What's growing on? Purple Cauli in Loren's garden, one tick for the wishlist. What's on your wishlist?

19.01.2022 If you haven't tried peas straight from the pod you're missing out! Did you know we deliver seedlings right to your door? We suggest waiting a few more weeks to plant spring vegies but you can order any time and request a delivery date.

17.01.2022 This is my oldest plant and one of my favourites. It's a blueberry and it's loving its new home at our new house! Looking forward to lots of blueberries around Christmas time. What is your favourite plant (either one you have or one you want)?

14.01.2022 We're taking orders for spring planting seedlings soon. Here's how it works. Choose 10 or 20 plants you'd like to grow- any combination but we suggest at least 2 of each plant. Send us a message with your order and we'll send payment details. We're starting small so don't wait too long to put your order in, we don't want you to miss out! We'll post a list of available plants very soon but if you have any requests just comment below and we'll do our best to accommodate.

13.01.2022 Share your garden day We'd love to see your garden/pot plants! Comment below with a pic (even if there's not much there yet). This is Loren's garden.

11.01.2022 The garden (AKA jungle) is loving the rain but I'm nervous about the heavy rain and wind predicted today! Do you have a plan to protect your plants?

08.01.2022 It's not too late to put in some cucumbers and watermelons. $3 each with FREE delivery until the end of the year! We also have some watermelons coming soon. Just message us to order or if you have any questions.

08.01.2022 Plant spotlight- Silverbeet This is one of the easiest and most productive vegetables to grow. You can harvest just the outer leaves and leave the plant to continue growing. The variety pictured is fordhook which gets huge but there are literally a rainbow of options and they grow year round. Perfect as a side dish or in a frittata. We have a limited supply of Fordhook seedlings left for $2 and don't forget delivery is free until the end of the year! We'd love you to share how you use silverbeet too

08.01.2022 Need some help in the garden? We can help to get you started, or do those jobs you don't have time for (weeding is fun for CPL's). PM for a quote.

07.01.2022 It's always fun to find misfit veg! What funny shaped veg have you grown? (Bonus points for a pic).

06.01.2022 The snow pea is such a versatile crop. Although they are predominantly used in Asian cookery, they are also a great addition to any salad. They are particularly good for those who don't have lots of garden space or are looking for a decorative wall feature in the cooler months. We have both green and purple varieties available for order.

05.01.2022 It's amazing the difference soil condition can make! The smaller carrot was planted in a small raised bed with Spinach and Brocolli in early winter and got more sun. The bigger, an in ground bed with Cauliflower and Silverbeet at a similar proximity. The smaller bed dried out more quickly and I think it's probably the main difference. We'll have carrots available for spring planting.

04.01.2022 Romanesco update- Should have picked it sooner but it's coming out tomorrow. Much more interesting than anything at the shops!

03.01.2022 Happy New Year gardeners! What would you like to grow in 2021? Is there something you've always wanted to grow?

02.01.2022 Sneaky plants. This is a broadbean that I didn't plant. It popped up along with some peas and lupins from pea straw I used as mulch. Whilst mulches "shouldn't" have seeds in them, I'm not complaining! What sneaky plants have appeared in your garden? Bonus points for a photo (you might need an umbrella if you're local)!

02.01.2022 ***SPRING SPECIAL*** All seedlings are just $1! Tomato Varieties Roma, Christmas Grapes SOLD OUT Tomato Mortgage Lifter Capsicum Mixed SOLD OUT... Chilli- Cayenne Eggplant Mixed Basil Lettuce Varieties- Australian Yellow Leaf, Red Velvet SOLD OUT Pumpkin- Buttercup Free Delivery for September Just message us with the varieties you'd like.

02.01.2022 Romanesco Broccolli is starting to form a head. I can't wait to show you how awesome these guys look fully formed!

02.01.2022 Yum yum! Compost and manure covered with a straw mulch help feed all the awesome underground life that will help feed your plants! Now is a great time to get the garden ready for spring. What will you be planting as the weather warms up?
