24.01.2022 so tonight ive been looking at helical primary drive gears on Indian Motocycle and i need some assistance. In particular im looking for : no of teeth, outside ...diameter and thickness of gear. ? 1920-26 Scout 600cc Drive Pinion # 20B46(S70) no of teeth OD thickness Intermediate Gear 20B455X(S2393X) no of teeth OD thickness 1926-28 Scout 600/750cc short frame & 1928-31 Scout 101 600/750cc Drive Pinion # 28B10(S70Y) no of teeth OD thickness Intermediate Gear 28B92X(S2393YX) no of teeth OD thickness 1922-28 Big Chief Drive Pinion # 22B96(T70) no of teeth OD thickness Intermediate Gear 22B104X(T2393X) no of teeth OD thickness 1929-33 1200cc Chief Drive Pinion # 36B326 no of teeth OD thickness Intermediate Gear 28B92X(S2393YX) no of teeth OD thickness im pretty sure the info is correct although i dont have parts books for 29/30 if anyone can help with dimensions id be much obliged. many thanx in anticipation

24.01.2022 I’ve posting a few pictures of our new hand crafted Custom covers for the Cam and the clutch and people are asking me how easy are they to fit. I just installed... my clutch cover this afternoon. Took about 20 mins all up. You need 1/ a flat bladed screwdriver 2/ a DIY hot air gun 3/ some fishing line about 60cm (2ft). Firstly make sure you can get behind the foil badge with the fishing line. If you can’t do this easily use the flat bladed screwdriver to pry up one edge of te foil badge. Heat the chief icon foil badge in your clutch cover. Set blow gun to max heat keep the heatgun around 3-4 cm away and start at one edge going up and down like you would cut the grass in your garden. Whats important is not to stop moving. Do this 3 or 4 times. Run the fishing line behind the foil badge and saw the line up and down pulling horizontally across the badge. It should come off easily. Sometimes the black plastic backing plate comes off at the same time. If not repeat the process using the line behind the backing plate. Clean off the black double sided tape until you can see the chrome on the cover. remove the 2 m6 x12 Allen screws at 3 and 9 oclock. Offer up the cover and use the 2 new longer button heads to install the cover to about 5-10 ftlb torque. ( firm but not tight). Job done.

22.01.2022 Small progress on the 741 gene chain tensioner today. I think it might work. The tensioner is going to run up thru a tapped bush im going to fix in the metal chaincase. ( i hope)

02.01.2022 My 1926 Indian Scout Racer came home today. Its been a journey of discovery from the original frame wheels and box of engine parts some 4 years ago. It can nev...er be original but it shows what a bit of ingenuity and thought can do for you. I think she is a little cracker for a 94 year old lady. She runs nicely now thanx to some perserverence with the Splitdorf S2 magneto and a recon Linkert 541 carby. She is completely road legal for a 1926 bike it has a brake light horn which is more than she was originally built with. See more
