23.01.2022 Got my Grand Syndicates merchandise today in the post and I LOVE it. 2 caps, 1 polo and a windbreaker. It’s all super high quality and very comfortable. Something tells me the polo will be getting worn at least twice a week. I currently have 3 horses with them - Majestic Shot, the Super One Colt and the Deep Field filly.

21.01.2022 She has an offical racing name!!! My 2 year old Deep Field x Bonbird filly has been officially named ‘Brancusi’ and it was my naming suggestion that won! Brancusi was a Romanian sculptor of the 'Bird In Space' series. The original work was created in 1923. It sold for 27.5 Mil in 2005, at the time a record for a sculpture sold at auction. ... I have now had 2 of my naming suggestions win and become offical racing names for my horses. The other horse I named being Majestic Shot. This girl just had her first ever jump out on Wednesday and is set to have a second in a fortnight if she comes through the first well. She has managed to do all this in her first racing prep and she’s the most forward horse I’ve ever had! She also has LOTS of attitude.

16.01.2022 Woo hoo! Majestic Shot won her first offical trail impressively this morning at Newcastle by 3.5 lengths! She was never really asked to do much but this is what I was hoping she would come out and do based on the high regard this filly has been held in since I brought her. Both my 3 year olds have now won their first trials impressively and are off to the races for their debuts!
16.01.2022 Hillary (The Great Boombino) will be racing in her biggest ever race today at Doomben in Race 6 the $125,000 Fillies & Mares Quality Handicap over 1200m! She’s drawn perfectly in barrier 4, has Steph Thornton to ride (who rode her when she won her city race) and there are only 6 other horses in the race! Of course, this is a massive step up in class for her and she is rated the second-lowest in the race BUT with only a couple horses going around it was too much of an amazing opportunity to pass up! 15.01.2022 Woo hoo! Joyful Miss (Joy) won her first trial this morning. She pulled like a steam train at the start and is still very green but it was great to watch. It was the fastest 900m trial of the day in 0:54.74
15.01.2022 October was a month of ups and down in my racehorse ownership journey. I got the most wins ever in a 30 day period (4 wins) but my favourite girl The Great Boombino is out for 6 month recovering from surgery to remove 2 bone chips (she will make a full recovery). Here is a bulk update on what all my horses are currently doing for those interested. The 5 Year Old... The Great Boombino - 5 wins. Recovering from surgery to remove 2 bone chips - Will be out for 6 months. The 3 Year Olds Majestic Shot - Spelling 4-6 weeks. 2 wins. Currently unbeaten. Joyful Miss - Spelling 4-6 weeks. 2 wins from 3 starts. The 2 Year Olds Brancusi - 1st racing prep - Heading towards a 2nd jump out. Super One Colt - 2nd racing prep - Hoping to officially trial this prep. Written Tycoon Colt - 1st racing prep. Working towards 3/4 pace work. Better Than Ready Filly - 1st racing prep. Working towards 1st jump out in 3 weeks. Street Boss Filly - completed 1st racing prep. Spelling 4-6 weeks. Winning Rupert Filly - completed 1st racing prep. Spelling 4-6 weeks. 05.01.2022 Roxy (Better Than Ready x Niama) this morning at the track! She’s working towards her first jump out in a week or so. According to all reports she’s very sensible and often leads the other 2 year olds on new things. Hard to believe she’s a filly with all that muscle and she could be Hillary (The Great Boombino) twin colour and marking wise!

04.01.2022 My Better Than Ready filly Roxy is looking fantastic after returning from a spell. She’s been back in work about 2 weeks and is finally returning to her deep black/brown colour. She has the exact same face and feet markings as Hillary (The Great Boombino) and could be her twin! It’s a sign!

03.01.2022 Brancusi A nice 3rd for Brandcusi this morning in her trial at Tatura. She missed the jump, got stuck in traffic, and over raced a heap on the wet track but showed good let down in the last 50m. She’ll head to a second trial now and then maybe even her first race if everything goes smoothly between now and then. She just needs to learn to settle more as she is still super green and just wants to go at 100% the entire way, which you can’t do if you want to win races.

Still can't believe we brought this boy for just $20,000 when he looks this good and his dam is a half-sister to Duporth, Excites and Tickets.

02.01.2022 Woo hoo! Joy (Joyful Miss) will be having her first offical trial tomorrow at Ballina at 5.20pm! It looks like they do things a little differently at Ballina and it will almost mimic an actual race. Excited to see how my girl goes! All going well with the trial she will hopefully make her race debut within the next 2-3 weeks. P.S After the success of Hillary (The Great Boombino) I am excited to see what Joy can do as she has the same sire (Spirit Of Boom) as Hillary and will race in the same purple and black colours.

01.01.2022 BRANCUSI Super excited to see my 2 year old filly Brancusi have her first offical trial on Monday at Tatura (Victoria) for Warren Krongold Racing. This girl is showing she’s very forward and will most likely race as an early 2 year old. She has managed to get up to the offical trial stage in her first ever racing preparation. Although this will mainly be an educational trial (not asking her for much effort) I am intrigued to see how she goes!
