19.01.2022 HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY!!?
18.01.2022 There was a question asked last week regarding the yellow lines painted on Kriegel Way ans parking arrangements. Here is the response from one of our traffic managers copied and pasted below The yellow line marking means that parking on those parts of Kriegel Way is now banned. However, I would note that in the period shortly after installation, our parking enforcement team issue warnings as opposed to PINs (Parking Infringement Notices).... Council received quite a few concerns from residents and users of the park back in November (after lockdown restrictions eased) about significant volumes of parking causing issues at a number of locations around Tirhatuan Park. On Kreigel Way concerns related to: Cars blocking access through to the car park Cars blocking emergency vehicle access Cars damaging the grass at the side of the road We have been monitoring parking since, and while numbers are lower several of the issues remained. Councils Parking Review Committee determined restrictions were necessary.
17.01.2022 Hi guys I had a call last night from one of the local residents regarding an elderly man acting suspiciously around toilet block at Tirhatuan Park and watching some kids. I don't want to cause panic but please keep an eye on your kids while in the park. I have spoke to Council staff and police has been notified as well.
10.01.2022 Friendly reminder to fill in your ballot papers and post as soon as possible. Last day for returning the election envelopes is Friday 23rd of October. Make sure your vote is counted and your voice on Council is heard loud and clear.
08.01.2022 Great result for our local community and a victory for common sense!!!
07.01.2022 Congratulations to Cr. Angela Long and Cr. Sophie Tan
07.01.2022 Wishing all our residents a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!
07.01.2022 Hi guys, from April next year we will be able to combine our food waste ( no packaging ) into our green waste bins. Good initiative to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill. Green waste and food scraps will be turned into compost and sold to farmers and food growers.
04.01.2022 Total waste of money and resources in my opinion. No major benefit to ratepayers at all. Shops are still vacant, prostitutes are putting up tents in Hemmings st precinct, lack of parking is evident and here we are chasing rainbows. Equals to putting a lipstick on a pig situation. There are far more important and practical things that can and should be done before we dream big. I’d like to hear opinions for and against from residents and what your thoughts are please.
01.01.2022 Just a bit of info for some of the general issues everyone is trying to report. If you do it through Snap Send Solve app it will be prioritised and got straight to the relevant department officer. I don't mind if you email or call me directly but sometimes it might actually take longer. For anything important and urgent I am always available for a chat.
