21.01.2022 Attended the Lockyer Valley Tourism's first networking evening for the year. A great opportunity to get together and trade ideas and thoughts for the coming year. An exciting time ahead with our association with new tourism organisation South Queensland Country Tourism and the expertise they offer. The event was held at the Mulgowie 'Mulga' Hotel. Thank you to Sarah and Carol for putting on a lovely spread. Be sure to take the opportunity to enjoy the hospitality of the Mulgowie Hotel. The famous Mulga Bull Ride is on Friday March 12th and will be a COVID safe event. Tickets are essential and can be found online.

17.01.2022 We gathered this morning to farewell Graeme E, Shane C and Matt B who are moving on to other ventures and retirement. Between them they have contributed 48 years of service to Council and our community in their fields of Asset Management, Roads, Parks, Gardens and Cemeteries and were always a wealth of knowledge and expertise. I had the pleasure of working along side of all three of these gentlemen over the years and I would like to thank each of them for their comradery, professionalism and dedication to our community during their time with Council and wish them well for the future.

15.01.2022 Another great turn out at the monthly Mulgowie Markets, first Saturday of each month at the Mulgowie Hall complex.

12.01.2022 Sunday March 7th is Clean Up Australia Day. Cr Brett Qualischefski LVRC is organising a team to clean up roadside litter between 7:00am and 10:00am and we are seeking any assistance you might be able to offer in this worthwhile event. We will be doing the section of Whites Road, Laidley, along the Laidley - Gatton Road out past the Laidley Golf Club and hopefully meet up with the team coming in from Forest Hill along the way. We will gather under the trees at the roadside ar...ea opposite St Mary's, beside the gully across from the pool. Follow the link below for further details and if you require more information, please get in touch. There is also the opportunity to make a donation on the page if you prefer to do that. Thank you in advance for all your support and hoping to see as many of you as we can out there on the day for this great cause and enjoyable social event. Please book on the site if you can help out so we can organise enough kits and equipment for the day. https://www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au/f/brettqualischefski

06.01.2022 Come along and support Sophie and Abbey who are raising funds to participate in the Highland Dancing competition in Scotland when they are rescheduled. The young ladies are usually here at the markets selling a great range of home baked goods. PS. The smartie cookies are very yummy. Wish you all the best Sophie and Abbey in your quest.
