25.01.2022 Sunday 10 January 2021. Online only: Good morning Church. This week we continue our time in the Psalms of Ascent by looking at Psalm 127. This Psalm is one of only two that are attributed to King Solomon. In many ways, this Psalm echoes the wisdom attributed to Solomon elsewhere, pointing to the sovereignty of God over both the lives we build and the homes we make. Psalm 127 challenges us to step back and consider the limitations of our human endeavors. What we do with our ...hands and what we do in our homes is all by the will of God. May we, like those who first sung this song, recognise that without God, all we strive for is in vein. This week we remain exclusively online, with the intention to return physically next week. https://youtu.be/I7ZqJ7BbUDE

25.01.2022 Sunday 11 October - 10am. Ben Peletier @ the PCYC. Fisher Road, Dee Why. Also available online from our website. http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermons Ephesians 5:21-6:9 - Every Single Relationship... Series: The Root & Fruit of the Gospel The Christian faith should shape every aspect of your life but there are few places that this reality is more obvious than in the way we relate to other people. The way we treat other people from all areas of life and from a variety of social standings should reflect the way Jesus himself related to the world. In the book of Ephesians, we have seen how the foundational truths of our faith form a root system from which the Christian life should grow. This life is not about truths believed, it's about truths embodied. These truths should be seen in our marriages, our families and our workplaces. Every single relationship that we have matters.

24.01.2022 Last weekend we looked at the heart of the Easter story, the cross and the empty tomb. These events are the Epic of Easter. The links below provide a short summary of the sermon and a series of questions that flow out of it. Please use them with your families, or discuss them over the phone or online with your small groups or friends and family. We would encourage you where possible to connect in with other people, there are at least two small groups attempting to meet up ...online to work through the studies. Also be sure to reach out to someone if you need help or support, we have be inundated with people asking how they can help serve in this chaotic time. May we stick together and come out of this stronger, more committed to our faith and unified in our purpose; to love and serve our Saviour and Lord. Stay safe Ben http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/study-notes

24.01.2022 Hi everyone. Hopefully by now you will have been informed that this coming Sunday (25 October) we are back exclusively online due to the PCYC having an existing booking. We will be back again next weekend (1 November) and at that service we will be sharing in the Lord Supper together. This week is our first sermon in our series through the book of Obadiah, this week though we are only looking at the first two lines. Understanding the story behind the story. Have you ever r...ead the book of Obadiah and if you have can you remember what it was about? Most of us know very little about Obadiah, but don't be ashamed scholars don't know much about him either. So what place does it have in the Old Testament and what does it add to the story of redemption? To understand Obadiah you have recognise the context. We know very little about the author and the actual date of it's writing is also vague. What we know for certain is who the book is about: Edom. This letter confronts the nation of Edom but is written for the people of Israel. To understand the heart of this book we first need to understand the origins and history of these two nations and that is exactly where we begin this week. The sermon video along with an audio recording is available from the church website under the sermons page. http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermo/obadiah-series-14187625 Stay safe, keep your distance and look out for each other! 24.01.2022 Sermon Study. John 11:1-50. Easter the Prequel Last weekend we looked at the prequel to the Easter story, Lazarus rising from the dead. Linked here is a short summary of the sermon and a series of questions that flow out of it. Please use them with your families, or discuss them over the phone or online with your small groups or friends and family. We would encourage you where possible to connect in with other people, there are at least two small groups attempting to meet ...up online to work through the studies. 23.01.2022 5 April 2020 - Ben Peletier (Video & Audio) The Easter Epic - The Prequel - John 11:1-54 For this week and next we are taking a small break from the book of 1 Peter to focus in on the story of Easter. This Sunday we are looking at one of the major events in the gospel of John that pointed forward to the world changing reality of Jesus death and resurrection.... Many of you will know the story of Lazarus and his sisters. Its a well know story, but have you considered how this story links into the Easter story? Have you considered how it speaks into the situation of our world today too? Please let us know if you have any technical issues with the video, we would also appreciate your feedback as to how we might improve the style, process and accessibility. http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermons

23.01.2022 Freedom Sunday. 13 September 2020. This weekend we have the opportunity to participate once again in the International Justice Missions (IJMs) Freedom Sunday. Last year we opened up the idea of Biblical justice and what we are told to think and do about justice in our world. How are we to imitate the justice that we see God embody?... This year Dave Groenenboom, who works for IJM and is an ordained minister in our denomination, will be opening up the well known passage from 2 Kings 4:1-7. Through this passage and the stories of real people in our world today, we will see just why ending slavery is still a task for Christians in our world today. https://youtu.be/hM8bgdW4RLw Www.ijm.org.au

21.01.2022 26 July 2020 This week we look at the second last of our seven deadly sins. Gluttony is not something that many of us think we struggle with. Its only a problem for certain types of people. Unfortunately, this isnt the case because as we will see, this sin is about a lot more than just overindulgence. https://youtu.be/wF3CZt7ZKtY

21.01.2022 Sunday 8 November - Ben Peletier @ the PCYC & online. Obadiah 1:10-14 - Am I My Brothers Keeper? Series: Brothers at War Last week in Obadiah we saw that God has something to say to the people of Edom, a nation who like Israel, were descendants of Abraham and Isaac. The charge against the Edomites was that they were proud, they have placed their hope and faith in what they had rather than in who God was. They, like we often do, placed their faith in themselves.... This week though we see what this pride led them to, what is God's specific charge against them? They failed to love, care and protect their own family, their brother nation Israel. This was not the first time either we will see, but it was enough for God to promise that their sin would not go unpunished. http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermons

21.01.2022 15 December 2019 10:00am - SvW Jesus, the priest we always needed! - Hebrews 1:1-4 & 4:14-16 Jesus, the great high priest! How quaint! Who needs a priest in todays Australia? Answer: YOU do, and so do I. ... When you are sharing your heart or breaking under a burden, you want someone who is understanding, can sympathise, step into your shoes, and be effective for generously bringing grace, mercy and help into your pain, difficulty and loss. When you are weighed down by guilt or shame, you want someone who can actually take it away from you. You need a priest and Jesus fits the bill perfectly. See more

21.01.2022 29 March 2020 - Ben Peletier (Video & Audio) Chosen Exiles Dispersed - 1 Peter Series #4 1 Peter 2:1-10 - Milk & Stones & Holy Zones... Week two of our video sermons, hopefully as we all get used to this new medium so will I. I have taken onboard some feedback and will hopefully improve some of the simple aesthetics of the videos. This Sunday, we begin on chapter 2 of 1 Peter. In this section, Peter continues opening up just what the life and ministry of Jesus should look like in our lives. He does so by using two simple and Biblical images, milk and stones. He challenges us to both experience the goodness of God and to see our part in his plan for this world. Please let us know if you have any technical issues with the video, we would also appreciate your feedback as to how we might improve the style, process and accessibility. http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermons

20.01.2022 Sunday 5 July 2020. Hi everyone. This week we continue our series on the seven deadly sins by looking at the topic of envy. You can find the link to the sermon below. Study notes will also be available on the website next week. ... http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermons

20.01.2022 Sunday 18 October - Ben Peletier 10am @ the PCYC & online. (Fisher Rd. Dee Why). Ephesians 6:10-20 - Know Your Enemy Series: The Root & Fruit of the Gospel... In the final teaching section of the letter to the Ephesians, Paul gives one of his most famous illustrations, the armour of God. In this section, Paul prepares the church and all those reading the letter for the life beyond what they have read. It's not a life of peace and quiet, it's a life of struggle and war. Who though is the enemy we will be fighting? It's not the people around us, nor is it people distant and unknown, it's the very powers that have been waging war against God and his people since the fall. The enemy we are called to stand against is the devil and his powers. This is no small war but it's one that we are called to be both aware of and prepared for. So will you wear the armour God offers you?

19.01.2022 27 October 2019 10:00am - Ben Peletier A Prayer, A Song, A Hope - Habakkuk Chapter 3 The book of Habakkuk presents us with a very raw and real picture. Its the account and reflection of a man, chosen by God to be his messenger to the people of Israel. We know very little about who Habakkuk was but we do know he could write psalms, or songs very much like psalms, which we see in chapter 3.... These final poetic verses of the book bring it all together, it references what has come, what is coming and what lies beyond. In the midst of fear and uncertainty, Habakkuk is still able to cry out to his God, a God who he knows deserves to be adored and worshiped but also a God that is not to be trifled with.

18.01.2022 15 March 2020 10:00am - Ben Peletier Chosen Exiles Scattered - 1 Peter 1:3-12 Last Sunday we were introduced to the first letter of the Apostle Peter, a letter written to the Christian communities spread throughout the region of Asia Minor. We looked back at the story of Peter, a life filled with ups and downs, yet driven to see Jesus name preached.... This Sunday we get into the body of the letter looking at Peters introductory paragraph, a single sentence of praise that lasts the entirety of our 10 verses. This opening of praise gives the letter its foundation and it assures the readers the certainty of their salvation. Looking forward to seeing you there!

17.01.2022 13 October 2019 10:00am - Ben Peletier Faith in the Darkness # 2 This Problem Has Options - Habakkuk 1:12-2:5... Last week, we began our series through the book of Habakkuk, which starts with a confronting plea to God. The author asks how long Lord until you deal with the problem before me? How long until you deal with this sinfulness and shame? To that, God responds with something that would have made no sense to Habakkuk. Rather than simply eradicate the problem, God was raising up a nation, Babylon who would be his instrument of justice. The problem was Babylon as a nation were far worse than Israel and so in the second complaint, which we will look at this Sunday Habakkuk simply asks God: Why?

16.01.2022 Sunday 24 January 2021. For the the better part of a year, we as a church have been chugging along with very little to physically celebrate in person. This Sunday though we have the immense privilege in participating in the baptism of Simon Norel. We along with Hans and Nicole will together promise to point Simon to Jesus, to the power of the cross and the beauty of grace. On Sunday we will very visibly and physically celebrate all that Jesus has done for us and promises to ...do for Simon too. To make sure that as many people as possible are able to make it, we have hired the PCYC building across the road. Though we will have more space and a higher capacity, they do have the same requirements as us. You will again need to use their QR code and wear a mask. Natalie and Pieter will be at the entrance to help you with the sign in process. If it is your intention to come on Sunday could you please register your intent by clicking the link below https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/sunday-service-simon-norel- If you are unable to attend, the service will be live streamed on Zoom and later available from the Sermons page on our website ZOOM LINK: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81268667262

16.01.2022 24 November 2019 10:00am - Ben Peletier Songs of the Steps #4 - Psalm 123 This Sunday we get back into the Psalms of Ascent by looking at Psalm 123. With only four verses, this song is over before you realise and yet like all Psalms, it powerfully and illustratively expresses the life and struggles of Old Testament Israel. ... Come along this Sunday morning as we open up just how this Psalm points back to the story of Israel while at the same time showing us just how we should position our lives in our world today.

16.01.2022 This week we look at the first of the seven deadly sins, pride. The sin we hate in others but are usually completely blind to in ourselves. Through the book of Proverbs we will seek to understand what it is, why its a problem and what we are called to do about it. The sermon video along with an audio recording is also available from the church website under the sermons page. That page can be accessed at: http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermons Stay safe, keep your distance and stay home where possible!

15.01.2022 Sunday 28 June 2020 - Ben Peletier. The Seven Deadly Sins - Greed in the book of Proverbs Each of us is born with natural desires, babies cry instinctively for food, we each have the desire for relationships and we are all driven to seek some kind of success in various avenues in life. At what point do those desires cease to be helpful and natural and start to become sinful? Well when they become greed.... Greed is the insatiable desire for more, more money, more power, more anything. Its a powerful motivator but one that almost always brings an end to our moral standards. So why is greed wrong and what are we going to do about it? Well thats what this sermon is hopefully all about. https://youtu.be/_uBJ0S51uG4

15.01.2022 20 October 2019 10:00am - Ben Peletier Woe to the World - Habakkuk 2:2-20 Habakkuk is a book filled with questions, doubts and pain. The prophet saw a people falling apart, turning on their faith and ignoring the way they were called to live and so he cried out to God. The answer came back, Babylon is coming and I will use them to deal with the problem.... This wasnt the answer Habakkuk expected because this foreign nation were even further from God than his own people. Our passage today is Gods response to the state of Babylon. To put it simply, their time will come. But this text is about more than Babylon, its a warning to the powers of this world that they will never rise above their station in Gods creation.

15.01.2022 Good morning church. Hopefully you will have read the update sent around on Tuesday about our planned return to services at our regular premises this Sunday. Unfortunately our registered numbers for attendance are at full capacity for today. However the service will be streamed live on Zoom. Please also bear with any technical glitches as we get used to a new restrictions and systems. (Also a recording of the service will be available after lunchtime today from the website) Zoom link from 9.55am: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81268667262

13.01.2022 6 October 2019 10:00am - Ben Peletier How long Lord? - Habakkuk 1:1-11 Starting this week we are working our way through the book of Habakkuk, one of those small little Old Testament books that is hard to find without the index! Its a small book that in many ways speaks directly into some of the most challenging questions we might have for God today.... The book of Habakkuk deals with the issue of fear, doubt, confusion and darkness. That is why we will be calling it faith in the darkness and hopefully over the next four weeks we will see that in this little book we have a message that confronts us in ways we dont like to think about

12.01.2022 Sunday 19 April 2020 - Ben Peletier (Video & Audio) Called Exiles Dispersed - 1 Peter 2:9-10 - With the Epic of Easter now finished we get back into the series from 1 Peter. Interestingly this section of 1 Peter flows out of Easter, with Jesus now ascended, what are we, his people on earth left to do and be?... Well these two verses certainly help as it describes who the church is and what it does. With four simple pairs, Peter describes the community of Jesus on earth in a way that we should never forget. Please watch todays sermon here: http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermons

12.01.2022 Hi all, I hope youre all looking forward to our services restarting today at 10am. As I hope you are aware, we are meeting in the PCYC building which is on Fisher Road opposite the church. 11.01.2022 The Epic of Easter - Part 2. Easter Sunday: Hi all, Tomorrow is a Sunday that is different from any other, not simply because we are in isolation but more so because we celebrate the fact the Jesus is alive. That tomb that he was placed in could not hold him. This Easter we have been focusing in on this epic piece of history by making our way through the Gospel of John. This message, linked below, brings this Easter story to a close.... Hopefully you have taken the time to watch the message from Good Friday. Yet Good Friday is only good because of the message of Easter Sunday! Though we are in isolation this doesnt change the truth of this weekend, take the time to reflect upon just why this part of our faith is so central to what we believe. Please also take the time to sing along or enjoy these songs that reflect the message of Easter. Hallelujah! What A Saviour! https://youtu.be/MWOvD06hJqM O Praise The Name https://youtu.be/LqBpifDpNKc 10 000 Reasons https://youtu.be/DXDGE_lRI0E The sermon video can be played directly from YouTube by clicking HERE. https://youtu.be/-FwxXIBLats The video along with an audio recording is also available from the church website under the sermons page. That page can be accessed by going directly to the website at: http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermons Stay safe, keep your distance and stay home where possible! Ben

10.01.2022 10 November 2019 10:00am - Ben Peletier Songs of the Steps # 3 - The Beloved City - Psalm 122 This Sunday we are back in the Psalms of Ascent, the songs of the pilgrims as they made their way from around the middle east back home to Jerusalem. In Psalm 120 we heard about the perils of living in a foreign land. Then in Psalm 121 we read of the fear of the journey and the protection that only God can offer. ... This Sunday we pick up again in Psalm 122 which focuses in on the arrival and the joy of reaching their beloved capital, Jerusalem. Its hard for us to fully grasp the importance of this city to an Israelite, it was the heart of their identity, it was the centre of their hope. Simply it was and in some ways still is their home.

09.01.2022 22 December 2019 10:00am - Ben Peletier Jesus, the King we needed - Hebrews 1:1-4 & Jesus as King is something that rolls off the tongue for most Christians. We are happy to acknowledge that he deserves that title but are we happy to acknowledge what that means? To say Jesus is king is to hold him in the highest regard, to live by his every word and to honour him with all we do and say. Anything else could even be considered treason.... Do we live with that high of a regard for Jesus? Often not. We are happy calling him saviour, friend and counsellor because these roles stress what he does for us. As King, the shoe is on the other foot, as we are called to love and serve him and live out his will. Come along this Sunday as we look at this third office of Jesus, his role as King over all creation.

09.01.2022 Sunday 17 May 2020 - Ben Peletier (Video & Audio) Called Exiles Dispersed - 1 Peter 4:1-11 The Clock Is Ticking Nobody wants to look back on their lives and see that it was a waste and yet we so often do things that are utterly pointless or even worse, sinful. In our next section of the book of Peter, he addresses both the past and the future, looking at what we have done and what lies ahead for us.... If you have any questions or comments about the videos please get in touch either by sending us an email or by getting in touch with either Ben or one of the elders. http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermons

08.01.2022 Sunday 1 November - Hi everyone. We are back at the Dee Why PCYC Today. 10am. Part 2 in the Obadiah series. Pride comes before a fall. If you can't make it, please listen to todays message here: http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermons

08.01.2022 Christmas Day Service - 9.30am At Christmas we celebrate the birth of Jesus. That little nativity scene is well known, so are most of the characters, but do we really know who the little baby in the middle is? Sure he was a baby once but he isnt any more. He grew up to be one of the most influential people in human history. ... But why? Who was he really and what did he come to do? Thats what makes Christmas so important and thats what is worth celebrating.

08.01.2022 22 March 2020 - Ben Peletier (Video & Audio) Chosen Exiles Dispersed - 1 Peter 1:3-12 This week, we step into the strange world of video/audio sermons. This is not my preferred way to preach but given our current health crisis, it is the best way forward. ... Early next week Ben will be circulating a series of study questions based on this sermon to use as personal reflection or with your small groups. Please take advantage of this resource. We are continuing our journey though the book of 1 Peter, which I feel is just the book to consider in our present moment. Like we saw last week, this book gives us reason to hope and this week we see what Peter means by that as we identify four characteristics of people who cling to this truth. Keep your eyes open for another communication tomorrow with details as to where to find the video and audio files. 06.01.2022 Good evening everyone. Tomorrow is Good Friday and which means that we would normally gather together to remember that history changing moment when Jesus was nailed to the cross. Unfortunately this year we must remember this truth from the confines of our own homes. This isolation though in no way changes the significance or meaning of this weekend and so we encourage you to watch this message tomorrow followed by our Easter Sunday service which will be sent around on Saturda...y. Please also take the time to sing along or enjoy these songs that reflect the message of Easter. 06.01.2022 Good morning church, This Sunday with the rapidly changing environment and proximity to Christmas, we have decided to use an external video for todays sermon. One of the joys of the internet is that you have access to the greatest preachers both alive and passed, RC Sproul being the former. He was an amazing preacher and you can find many more of his sermons either on his website (ligonier.com) or through YouTube. As far as getting back to church goes, that is still largely u...nknown. With both the northern and southern zones of the beaches still in lockdown it is likely that we will be online for at least the next few weeks. If you do live on the beaches, please stay in the zone you live in. When we are allowed back, our ability to meet in our building will be dependent on the people per square meters rule. We will endeavor to keep you updated with all that we know. The link to the message for today is below. This Weeks Sermon: From the Ligonier website: Ours is an age that emphasizes emotionalism and experience. Emotions and experiences are not necessarily bad things, but they should not be set up in opposition to the mind, to reason. In this message, Dr. R.C. Sproul exhorts us to remember that Jesus called us to love God with all of our minds. The sermon video can be played by clicking the link below: https://youtu.be/aLo5HyQqGmU Our previous sermon videos are also available from the church website under the sermons page: http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermons Stay safe, have a good week and please follow the health requirements

06.01.2022 Sunday 14 June 2020 - Ben Peletier. The Seven Deadly Sins - The Nature of Sin - Proverbs 1:1-19 In a divided world, its easy to point the finger at others. We love to play the blame game and point fingers at whoever we think is the problem. The Bible though presents a slightly different paradigm. The problems in our world dont begin out in the world, they begin in us. We are all part of the problems we see.... Over the next eight weeks, we will be considering just how and where these problems exist. To do this, we will be looking at the book of Proverbs and the concepts that have historically been called the seven deadly sins. To begin though, we must understand the nature of sin itself, if we dont understand our sin, how can we expect to fight it? http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermons.

06.01.2022 Happy Christmas, Despite all that has happened in the last two weeks we still celebrate Christmas, albeit largely at home and with your 10 chosen companions (If you live anywhere but the North)! We hope and pray that today, despite all that is happening around us we can stop and reflect on what this time of year is about for us as a church. This year will be very different for us on the Northern Beaches. Just a week ago we would have expected to be celebrating this day toget...her. A lot has changed and yet the point and purpose of Christmas has not. We can still celebrate that fateful day when Jesus was born. This Christmas, we want to focus in on one of the names that Jesus was given, a name that sums up the entire series we have been working with. Emmanuel, God with us. Log in this Friday as we see how Jesus is the only reason and the only way that we can experience a life with God both in here and now as well as into the eternal future. https://youtu.be/n6sXRIwo9bA

05.01.2022 Sunday 6 September. Ephesians series - #5. Ephesians 2:1-10 is one of the best summaries of problem of humanity and Gods gracious rescue mission. It shows how we as fallen creatures were once separated from God, deserving of wrath and dead in our sins. This is the heartbeat of the gospel. Do we ever stop to consider the second most important reconciliation, the reconciliation required for the church to exist?... Ephesians 2:11-22 in many ways mirrors the style and message of the previous section. It presents a different problem solved by the same solution; Jesus. This passage opens up for us an issue we almost never think about but its one that all Christians should seek to understand if they want to recognise the full glory of Jesus. http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermons

04.01.2022 HI all. Due to the Corona Virus pandemic, our Church has decided to suspend Corporate Sunday Services till further notice. Audio sermons will be available on our web site "Sermons" page and details of Video recorded sermons will also be advised shortly. Small groups will be meeting on Sunday mornings, so please contact us about sharing with a small group on a Sunday morning. Each week Bens new sermons will be available in audio, (and likely video and text formats) ever...y Sunday morning for your use (More details to follow). The first generations of the church met in homes and so can we. Studies based on the sermons will continue to be produced and we are going to encourage all groups to use these to foster a sense of unity. We will hopefully be opening up group options in various areas and at various times. We would love to see those not currently involved to come along. This pandemic is a moment for you to step forward in faith not backwards. With this said if you do come in contact with a confirmed case or begin to show symptoms it is important that you isolate yourself and follow the advice of health authorities. Last Sunday we looked at 1 Peter 1:3-12 and it began with these words: 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. In this time of great upheaval and public concern we must remember that we have a hope that is very much alive because death has been defeated in Jesus. We know this, we cling to it and we are guided by it. We will attempt to keep you updated as news develops and advice what actions we are taking as a church. Meanwhile if you require any assistance please contact us via our web site for more information. www.deewhy.crca.org.au

03.01.2022 Sunday 26 April 2020 - Ben Peletier Called Exiles Dispersed - 1 Peter 2:11-25 The Good Life Last week we saw Peters description of the church, a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and Gods special possession. These four ideas summarise who we are and why we are here. How then do we put this into action, what does it look like in our daily lives?... Well, Peter goes on to address his audience, his dear friends (v.11), giving them one simple instruction that he will open up in several ways in the following section. That idea is submission. In this section, he addresses the submission of slaves and in next weeks passage we will consider the submission that exists in personal relationships. http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermons

03.01.2022 Sunday. 16 August 2020. Last week we began our new series in the book of Ephesians. We saw its beginning, its foundation and its context while also considering the ministry of Paul who wrote the letter. This week we jump into the first major section, chapter 1 verses 3 to 14. These 12 verses are give us plenty to think about because it paints for us a picture of God. Its a picture we could look at for months! http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermons

02.01.2022 8 March 2020 10:00am - Ben Peletier Chosen Exiles Scattered - 1 Peter 1:1-2 & 5:12-14 This Sunday we begin a new series in the book of 1 Peter. Other than a quick break in April for Easter, this series will take us right up to the end of May. Though the book is only small, its message is big, covering so much of the Christian faith and life. This Sunday will act as an introduction, looking at the opening and closing words of the letter. In it, we see who wrote the letter, who is receiving it and what makes these people so important to both God and the story of the church. Looking forward to seeing you there.

02.01.2022 19 July 2020 This week we continue our series on the seven deadly sins by looking at the topic of Lust. https://youtu.be/cXMM1MhqwuQ

01.01.2022 Sunday 9 August 2020: Ephesians - #1 We are beginning a new series in the book of Ephesians. Over the next 10 weeks we are going to be opening up what Paul had to say to this ancient church so that we might see and understand just what God is saying to us today. Its going to be a great series that begins with a dive into some of the most profound truths in all of scripture! http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermons

01.01.2022 Sunday 3 May 2020 - Ben Peletier (Video & Audio) Called Exiles Dispersed - 1 Peter 3:1-8 The He-Man Woman Hater Club Submission is a dirty word in our world today. Its a word that means restriction, sacrifice and service, none of which our world are particularly enamored with. Last week we saw how Peter applied it to the whole church in its relationship to human authorities and then drilled down with an application to slaves.... This week, he gets into even more treacherous waters, he speaks about submission in gender roles. What does submission in this area look like for the church in a world confused and debating the very existence of gender itself? Log in as we see just what God says to us on this as we open up 1 Peter 3:1-7. Is God just a he-man woman hater? http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermons

01.01.2022 8 December 2019 10:00am - Ben Peletier Our True Prophet, Hebrews 1:1-4 & John 1:1-18 Christmas is one of the few times that people might actually mention Jesus, the question is; who was and is he really? As Christians we bear his name and we want others to both hear about him and know him but do we really know who is ourselves?... This advent, we as a church want to dive into the question of who is Jesus by considering the three titles that are often attributed to him; prophet, priest and king. Come along this Sunday as we look at the first: Jesus, our true prophet

01.01.2022 Sunday 10 May 2020 - Ben Peletier (Video & Audio) Called Exiles Dispersed - 1 Peter 3:9-22 A Curious Conquer Over the last few weeks we have focused in on the topic of submission in 1 Peter chapters 2&3. In this, we have seen the challenge presented regarding how we relate to governments, authorities and family structures. In our passage this week, Peter steps back and again addresses the whole church community.... In doing so he presents how we are to act, react and respond but in doing so he uses a very unique example. 1 Peter 3:19 is potentially the most confusing passage in the New Testament, what on earth is it talking about? Lets hope we can shed some light on what Peter wanted the church to know! http://www.deewhy.crca.org.au/sermons
