Birds in Backyards is a great website about birds in our urban environments with an easy to use bird finder and a suite of bird song files. It also includes information about bird citizen science projects,... feeding native birds and creating bird habitats in backyards. https://www.birdsinbackyards.net/ The Morcombe and Stewart eGuide to the Birds of Australia http://www.michaelmorcombe.com.au/ is an excellent guide for field identification. CSIRO Sound Archive - CSIROs archive of wildlife sound recordings is the most comprehensive library of its kind in Australia and is among the largest in the world. There are sound recordings dating back to the 1950s, providing useful information about animal behaviour and evolution, as well as insights into taxonomy. The sound archive is currently being digitised. A big thank you to everyone in the Gladstone community who posted or shared wildlife sound videos, liked our page and posts or provided comments on posts. Urban bird life featured throughout the month which is a positive sign and highlights the importance of protecting and enhancing green spaces in the urban landscape as well as protecting habitats across the region. Creative Recycling Centre would also like to thank the... Fitzroy Basin Association Inc who supported this project through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program.
