24.01.2022 Owen Briffa in the media again, for all the right reasons. Owen is the curator of the Lost Mundaring & Surrounds local history museum and works tirelessly to preserve our heritage with a passion not seen in many. One of the more recent historical sites Owen is campaigning to retain is the old St Marks site in Mt Helena. You can support Owen on his page for Lost Mundaring & Surroundings Local History Museum and Save St Marks Anglican Church Mount Helena

So, please check out the agenda and tune in via Vimeo (link on Shire website). "See" you there. Simon

13.01.2022 A timely and tragic reminder that a pandemic with no known vaccine or cure can and will surface in places where controls are either lacking or not adhered to. Whilst these controls can seem somewhat restrictive on us all personally, the pathogen has no ability to consider this, nor the capacity to care how it impacts you. It is literally up to every single one of you/us to do what is right for the broader community and at risk residents. Talk about concerns, do your research with reputable sources, look at the broader long term perspective. Let's keep working together to see the other side of this and keep our community thriving.

10.01.2022 ABC clip on the NSW fires. One of the key points made by a bushfire management expert reiterated that we must plan and plan well. Expert input to any planning scheme and strategy is a must when living in an area such the one we live in.
