19.01.2022 UPDATE - Please note this is a State Government initiative. We expect school leavers to be in Surfers Paradise and even though there are no organised events and activities, it is important we still have safe areas and support services in place. The City's Temporary Road Closure team has received a temporary road closure application requesting full closure of the Cypress Avenue (Cypress Gardens Car Park) metered car park between Ferny Avenue and Surfers Paradise Boulevard to facilitate a safe environment for the School Leaver Support response being held from Monday 16 November 2020 to Tuesday 1 December 2021. The closures will be at the discretion of the Queensland Police Service.

17.01.2022 Litter and Illegal Dumping Survey Have Your Say - Please take a few minutes to complete the survey on litter and illegal dumping. Every year more than 1000 tonnes of litter and illegally dumped waste is collected around the Gold Coast which results in an annual clean-up bill of around $7 million. Wouldn't it be good to help change this illegal activity so the money saved could be put to more beneficial projects across the city. Prize: Win one of five City of Gold Coast Tourist Park vouchers valued at $500.* Community engagement runs until 2 December 2020. gchaveyoursay.com.au/litter
