25.01.2022 Why should I use the Dial Before You Dig service before I begin excavating? Any excavation, irrespective of size, has the potential to damage assets located around the work site, leading to service interruptions, delays to the project, costly repairs and in the worst case scenario, injury or death. Obtaining information from Dial Before You Dig significantly minimises these risks by providing information about the work site. Safety is a fundamental aspect of any excavation project and so Dial Before You Dig should always be the first point of contact: The Essential First Step.

12.01.2022 ALL Trucks and Freight EXEMPT from border Closures: ALL Trucks and freight exempt from the closures of all state/territory borders .. according to the informat...ion provided by the peak trucking bodies in each state. In some cases their Governments have yet to FORMALLY confirm that and all the Transport Ministers are meeting right now. So we expect a formal announcement shortly. ESSENTIAL means ALL . unfortunately some officials and governments cant help but use unnecessary words when they say something, adding gloss. Many comments by Ministers around the country refer to essential freight being exempt from the closures. What they really mean is that ALL freight IS essential and therefore its exempt. WATCH THIS SPACE for updates. The advice we have posted previously re what operators and drivers should do re COVID19 will be incorporated into agreed industry protocols which once settled will be published asap.

04.01.2022 SARTA Has just spoken again with Premier Steven Marshall when he called us to update us and discuss issues. The EXEMPTION for freight applies TO ALL TRUCKS. T...here will NOT be checks on drivers at borders at this stage BUT it is essential, for the sake of the community and of individual truck operators and their drivers that: ALL drivers and employees of trucking business follow all the advice regarding health and safety measures to control COVID19 . hand washing, wiping down of relevant surfaces and equipment. Any driver or other employee who has been in contact with somebody with the virus MUST SELF ISOLATE for 14 days. Truck operators MUST ENSURE this happens. The stimulus packages from the Federal and State Govts are available to support the trucking businesses and their employees. KEEP watching the official media from Government and we will endeavour to keep you updated through this Facebook page.
