17.01.2022 ABC TV + iview and Bus Stop Films have launched the Pathways Strategy which aims to provide skills and experience for emerging Australian talent on both sides of the camera. Two practitioners with with disability will get the opportunity to work withABC's Entertainment & Specialist content teams for a year. Applications open 5 April 2021 and will close 30 April 2021.

09.01.2022 Celebrate this International Women's Day with a special screening of Natalia Stawyskyj's short film The Inaccurate Perception of Lara Grace. The short film tells the story of Lara Grace, who developed a disability as a teenager and she revisits her younger self in an attempt to determine what is important to her. 09.01.2022 The ABC have released the Diversity and Inclusion Commissioning Guidelines to ensure more faces, voices, and cultures are represented both in front and behind the camera. The guidelines cover gender diversity, Indigenous Australians, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, people living with disability and the LGBTQI+ community. 08.01.2022 The creator behind Netflix's Emmy-nominated 'Special', Ryan O'Connell will release his debut novel Just By Looking at Him. The novel is a coming-of-age story about a 30-something TV writer with cerebral palsy, who appears to be living a great life but behind the scenes is struggling. The novel will be published in 2022.
