25.01.2022 As Promised Long hair isn't a myth! However some people do find it hard to get there. For some, your hair growth cycle may not allow hair to grow very long and for others, we may not allow our hair to get super long We must remember though, with all hair, no matter the length, we need it to be healthy, protected and beautiful. I've put together some cool little packs of the awesome Hydro Frizz Cream and the easy to use Pure Protein Spray. Combined, these two products w...ill help to lightly moisturise, protect, strengthen and then seal in the goodness- from both these products and also your hairs natural vitimins. They aren't massive, which means easy to store at home and the Frizz Cream can then come with you in your hand bag on any adventure for a quick and easy reapply whenever and wherever u are! It could be that you have natural regrowth coming through, and need a touch up.... It could be that your hair is stressed, and you need some advice... How often so you visit your stylist and what do you generally visit for?

23.01.2022 Fun Fact James and I went to the Australia Zoo the other day and learnt some things about our amazing earthly creature called the Rhinoceros! One fact in particular that I wanted to share with all of you is that their horns are made of the exact same thing as what our hair is made of... keratin!... How cool is that! 17.01.2022 We have mentioned before the importance of using professional range shampoos with water soluble silicons in them rather then hair care with non water soluble silicons but let's talk the change over period between the two. if you are changing from supermarket shampoos to a professional range you're going to notice a difference in your hair that may not feel great to begin with. This is because your new shampoos need to strip away the build up of non water soluble silicons bef...ore they can get to your actual hair and work their magic. Through this process, you're going to feel the state of your hair under the build up and in most times, this will feel dry, rough and sometimes even a bit tacky! Bare with it though... push through the first month or two (depending on how regularly you're washing your hair) and you'll begin to find the difference of how your hair is feeling- all the way from the inside to the very outside of your hair. You're hair will be in heaps better condition and the shine will be from this very fact, rather then build up of an artificial substance. So, if your hairdresser has suggested a new product to try, make sure you give it a good couple months. Push through the initial transitioning period as your hair needs to adjust and the product needs to prepare the hair to be able to do what it should be doing! +trust the process always+

17.01.2022 Supporting Local When you support small local businesses, you're supporting a growing family to build a dream, to put food on the table and to then, themselves, support other small local businesses. This is a photo of our team, creating small packages by hand. Discussing our plan going forward. Getting creative and getting the time to be together as a family. ... Every time someone buys a product or gets a service done by us, we jump with joy! It means that I, myself can contribute to our household bills and do what I love every day, unapologetically. It also means I get to stock local products and support others who have their own small business. It means James gets to stress a little less about trying to somehow pull grocery money out of thin air so we can feed ourselves and our fur and feather children. It means that Claire, after being a mum at home for so long can get a bit of her independence back again and find her groove back in a work environment- which in turn means her Beautiful Hubby can hopefully work a little less hard and get to spend more time with his family as well. The domino effect and the appreciation is so very real! So if you can, swap to local! Spend that little extra money to support a dream and a family. 16.01.2022 New System Behind the scenes for CreateByDay is having a bit of a makeover. As you guys know we have the amazing @one_day_creations and @clairebreed_ on the team working their magic and knowledge, to help this small business be what it can be. A lot of things come with having and building a business and I'm so thankful for the help from both of these amazing humans. ... One thing I just wanted to quickly address- which I also have a verbal version of in my story for today as well, is the new booking system. The old one was me with my pen and paper book, sending out a reminder to each of you on my days off! Although I do love the personal touch I'm able to bring to these messages I also do love to be able to have a bit of time to myself on my weekend too, so.... Claire has helped to bring me into this century and we have found a system I'm happy with, which means 3 days prior to your appointment and as per usual- you will still receive a text reminder... just with one small change. I never asked for a confirmation, only a message if you needed to reschedule. Now, I ask that you please reply with a 'Y' so that your appointment can be confirmed in the system for me. If you can't make it and need to reschedule, all of you guys have my personal number to message or call to let me know. It's not a huge difference to how we have been doing it, its just some minor changes to the process.. mainly on my end but i still do want to thank everyone for being patient with me through this and understanding as well. I appreciate it immensely!!

14.01.2022 Update Hey everyone! It seems I've reached a point where I can no longer accept many new clients into my weekends. As of the end of this weekend (tomorrow at 8pm) I will unfortunately be turning away new clients for Saturday's and Sunday's. I do still have availability on some Fridays and Mondays for new visitors but this is also very limited and will soon be reserved for my regulars as well. ... Of course, there will always be a time or vacancy open up for a new client here and there but I wanted to let you know where I am at. A huge thank you to my amazing regular #createbydayfamily. It's because of you guys I am able to spend my days doing what I love.. so... that means in return, you guys do take priority and this is why I will be closing my books at this stage. ~~As of Sunday13th September at 8pm I wont accepting new visitors for Saturday's and Sunday's. As of today I will only be accepting a limited amount of new clients for Friday's and Mondays.~~ Also just a reminder to everyone! Christmas is approaching quickly. I am already booking for December and January and I will not be doing too many more hours then my usual over this time. I may even take the week between Christmas and New year's off.. yet to be confirmed. Please if you haven't already and would like to, I do suggest booking in the next few appointments to ensure you get the days and times that work best for you Thank you again to everyone! 13.01.2022 Random picture to share ending my day I have loved my take over day of the CBD page, I’m sure Sarah has too hehe. Has been super fun sharing a little of my life with you all. So before I hand the reigns back over to the boss I thought it’d be fun to share a couple things more about me. ... - So I’m originally from CQ - I moved for the first time when I was 29 and very very pregnant with our 2nd child, moved to the big smoke aka Brisbane - I have a crazy strange and strict diet but I’m still able to find some sneaky treats (this cheesecake for example, @misssarah_elizabeth you can eat this hehe) - Sarah and I aren’t just friends we are cousins So that’s such a bonus! - 3 weeks ago my family and I moved back up to Central Queensland for a year for hubby’s work. - My house has never been more organised or cleaned - My kids drive me wild but mai mainly cause they are smaller versions of myself & Jason, but I love them so unconditionally - I actually don’t like the beach, sand everywhere and sea lice no thanks. - Potato Chips are my weakness So there we go, few random funny facts about me. Monday 7th at 3pm Monday 14th at 11am... 11.01.2022 Did you Know? Hair is made up using the nutrients that comes from within our bodies. If you are unwell or stressed, lacking in a particular vitamin (Vit A, Iron, magnesium) or going through hormonal changes- you're hair and scalp will most likely feel these things as well and become less healthy or more sensitive to things like UV, chemical processes or every day normalities like tying your hair up and brushing.

10.01.2022 Gina I have had the pleasure of taking care of this gorgeous lady and her incredible mane for over 3 years now! It's always such a fun time when she's in the salon- we always manage to chat about some of the most peculiar things! She's more then just another client through the door, alot of my visitors are. It's just so awesome that I can build such a fun relationship like that with people I've met through my work. ... Also- shout out to incredible job she does at maintaining her hair throughout the weeks between appointments. Home hair care is so important! Who has an incredible relationship with their hairdresser and loves visiting for their appointments?

10.01.2022 Self Love Life can be tough. It can really kick us in the bum but on the other hand life is full of lessons and love and successes as well. Whatever is going on, life can be super busy! But it is so important to take time to love and care for yourself. Its not being selfish, its maintainance to keep our minds healthy and ourselves feeling beautiful. For me, I love to collage and get crafty, creating something beautiful and fun. I also love to play games with my friends and ...family as a down time, pick me up! Then as self love things, I love to visit my beauty team- Dawn at @dhbeautybox and Hana at @eyeshimmerbeauty. 09.01.2022 Australia Did you know that in salon and ad a family, we support a whole bunch of Australian businesses? Better still- small, home grown, local businesses. On top of our own Brand CreateByDay we currently have a few other Australian businesses in our salon. ... Let's start with our amazing colour range and hair care and styling products. @dnaorganics is not only an Australian business it also was started as a family run business. Although it has grown a bit, it's still very much a family run business like our own which is soo cool. Next we have our amazing cupcakes and snacks that Meagan creates for us each week! She is only a short drive away from our home based business and makes her desserts with her own hands! @mmcakesandcreations has been a part of our salon for a while now and I'm so glad! Who doesn't enjoy a sweet treat with their hair appointment Then, we also have @sparetimescrunchies as a part of our local businesses that we support here at CreateByDay! These scrunchies are super cute and every single one is hand made with love and thought by the amazing Michelle. Youll also see our beautiful furniture by the awesome @krakenfurniture as some other local buys in the salon- however I do not stock their product of course! We always want to be supporting Australian and local businesses! Do you find this to be an important thing in your home or business too?

07.01.2022 Teething A few weeks ago I introduced to you my beautiful CreateByDay family member and PA to you :) Claire does so much behind the scenes and I'm forever thankful for her! Over the next few weeks, Claire will begin taking some more responsibility on including beginning her training in the appointment taking aspect of the business. ... For my regular visitors, you guys have my number and are always welcome to message that number however for anyone messaging on my days off, and via any of the socials, you will be soon greeted by Claire! Another thing to be changing soon within the salon is my booking system. At the moment I have my book and pen as well as my own device to send out reminders however Claire is helping me to move from that into a computer system which means mainly on your end, you just have to be a lil patient with me as I get used to it. Most of you know my love for technology so it may very well seem more complicated then it actually is (for me). I'll keep you all posted for if I have any dramas or if there are any issues which may cause delays but otherwise, please just be aware of our changes and be patient with us for a little while while we are sorting out all the teething processes of the new stuff! The reality if it is that if you have nothing left to give and are running low on energy, self love and motivation.. You need to stop. You need to task an hour or day, or week and recharge. Focus on yourself occasionally! You need to refill you're cup before you can give anything to others.... Book an appointment, go for a walk along the beach or in as park, read a book, watch a movie, take a nap! 03.01.2022 Conditioners Every knows of conditioner but not everybody knows why we need it! When we wash our hair we use a shampoo. This helps to cleanse and get rid of anything that doesn't need to be on the hair shaft. What it also does, due to its PH level, is opens the cuticle on your individual hair strands. ... With an open cuticle this means you're shampoo can add more vitimins and moisture inside the hair and also better cleansing of the impurities but it also means that if left open, you'll be creating more damage between shampoos- so that's what your conditioner climbs on board the hair essentials train for. Conditioners PH level helps to bring the hair back to its natural PH level. This means when used, it seals the cuticle back up and helps to lock all the lovely nutrients from your other care products into the hair! 01.01.2022 Check in It has been a super strange and stressful year. So unpredictable and extremely lonely for many people. I want to check in but also remind people to be kind and forgiving. Usually at the end of a year, people's anxieties are heightened because it's a fast paced time.. It's about preparing for the end of the school year, Christmas parties, end of year in general for work and life. It's also about the start of preparation for next year's plans, goals, expectations, w...ork, study, life.. etc. Anybody may have something going on. As outsiders to some circumstances, we may never even know it by looking at a person. But let's try to be open and kind to people. Be patient with the people working all through without a proper break as well. Let's remember to reach out and ask for help if we need it and lets try to remember, to the best that we can, that even a smile could really be the warmth and support someone may desperately be needing. You're never truly alone in this world. This year has actually been the prime example of how many of us are going through similar things and that banding together and showing support/ asking for help shouldn't be as difficult to appreciate and understand We are sending so much love to anybody needing it right now!
