He reported having some great chats with many visitors, all of whom were amazed to see what can be made from crates that would otherwise be pulped into garden mulch. Thanks to Andrew, Kate and all the volunteers who have helped with the exhibition. Come see us at the Art, Craft and Cookery Pavillion. Photo: Andrew Potocknik

11.01.2022 We got an update this week from Frank Duyker, who has almost finished his Create from a Crate entry. He found the spiralled rusty nails in his recycled timber p...allet made the job arduous with small flakes of steel left in some of the nail holes. In hindsight, he thought he should have drilled out every hole. After sawing around most of the nails he was left with some workable timber. Frank is known for his sculptural works. We can't wait to see what he will produce for this year's exhibition. Here is an example of his work. Join us in October - https://www.facebook.com/events/1870828829821055/ See more

03.01.2022 Excellent effort from Melbourne Grammar's year 11 Woodworking Students! Despite the challenges Covid-19 has presented, under the expert guidance of teacher Steph Porrino, the boys have excelled with their creations! A few months ago these were old, broken pallets from the Holden Factory. Now they have a new lease of live and no doubt will take pride of place in family homes! Well done all!!!

03.01.2022 Not exactly timber related.....but we just can't help fusing art and recycling!
