25.01.2022 Fancy going on a 4x4 Amazing race on wheels through the Zambian bush? Well, sometimes we need to live through others to experience something that is not available to us in this moment. Right now, a Kusamala Tour would mean that I would be in Zambia, and I can think of nothing more wonderful that putting together a team of us to cheer from Australia and know that our difference can make a difference to conservation in Zambia, not matter what the world throws at us Click on the link to find out how your pebble, no matter what size, can ripple across oceans to make waves of change.

23.01.2022 II RESULTS II When you break an axle shaft rendering your vehicle a 2WD in a 4WD race, why not weld it back together in the middle of the wild using batteries? I have NO IDEA how one would do that, but the resourcefulness of life in Zambia brings out the best in people and that’s what a team mate of Corey’s did! ... They had 8 hours to reach 10 checkpoints, competing against 23 other vehicles, all in the name of wildlife conservation. Just sooooo cool! Corey and his team crossed the FIRST with ‘the shortest net distance’ AND won ‘highest fundraising award’. BOOM!! SMASHED IT!!! We know LEGENDS!!!! This is when that donation connects to a bigger picture way bigger than you ever imagined!!! On behalf of our big hearted, cheer squad community in OZ, we are so proud of you Corey. More about final tally raised from the event soon.

22.01.2022 The collaboration, generosity and kindness of the C4C community is the precious gift that keeps giving....thank you beautiful people...

22.01.2022 II WILDLIFE CONSERVATION II In just 1 week we have raised funds to cover Corey’s entry fee. What this has also raised, is hope that there are a whole lot of big hearted, like minded souls willing to give generously to ensure our wild world is protected. The gofundme page will stay open until this Sunday, with any extra funds raised allowing us to keep enabling Corey to do what he does so well with Chipembele; engaging with youth and inspiring future conservation leaders to va...lue and protect the wildlife they live with. Every single dollar will be sent to Zambia. This is about 100% frontline impact I can’t resist those smiles - can you? https://www.gofundme.com/f/chipembele-entry-fee-for-the-ele

21.01.2022 II A DIFFERENT WORLD II If things were different, the inaugural Kusamala Impact Tour would be in Zambia this month. Luckily, we embrace change and smile that on the other side of the globe, sundowners still look like this. Let’s raise a glass to cheers a safe life for all beings. We will be inaugural one day and what a different world we will share

19.01.2022 To look after our world is a global act! When one of our incredible C4C supporter lives in NYC, and initiates an online auction to ensure they still feel part of the action, I am truly humbled by the depth, commitment and authenticity of our community, and how far it ripples. Caitlin Ramsay, you are a true wildlife warrior that I know would speak up and stand up for any animal in need. I so love that about you. Please have a look at the amazing items that are open for bidding - bid, share, and help us all continue making a difference that matters. When you take a vacation that gives back at the same time, it feels even more like a holiday worth enjoying

19.01.2022 II GRADUATED II This is what a KINGS FOR WILDLIFE looks like! Way back on that night in February 2017, for all those people who donated, all those that attended the night and helped to make a dream come true - this ones for you! ... For believing that Kings was one amazing conservation champion worth believing in! #biggerpicturethinking #impact #makeadifference #changealife #believeinothers #conservationist #dreamscometrue

18.01.2022 II ZIKOMO (Thank you) II To all the wildlife, around the world, from smallest to largest, thank you for the beauty, the joy, the wonder, and the love you evoke in so many other species. It’s overwhelming how many of you need help, and it’s overwhelming how many people there are willing to give it. ... To those people willing to stop, observe, listen and seek, you create lessons in conservation every single day, no matter where in the world we are. Mwenzi and Bobby Mate @chipembelewildlife, two sweet little orphans on their return to the wild journey, remind us how comforting a hug can be.

18.01.2022 II RACE DAY II Today, in Zambia, Corey of @chipembelewildlife is participating in @elephant.charge.zambia. Earlier this week we transferred $1500US for his entry ticket, plus a little extra for Chipembele. ... 40 incredible people made this happen! 40 like-minded people supported this amazing race that will support wildlife conservation across Zambia! 40 big-hearted people made their change count! Go you Corey. We send you cheers and an extraordinary day ahead that we can’t wait to hear all about. Thank you for sharing such a purposeful opportunity for us to give back and stay connected with the frontline.

18.01.2022 What a weekend at Elephant Charge! Made even more memorable by Team #24 Eco-Charcoal taking home the prize of Shortest Net Distance.... raising $40,000 for wild...life conservation! This is the second-largest amount raised in Charge history! We want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support... we would not have raised this tremendous amount without you! And a BIG thank you to our amazing team - it's not many teams who can lose their front and rear trains 20% into the Charge, weld them back on using only their car batteries, and still come in 17th out of 19 teams! #Team24EcoCharcoal #ElephantCharge2020 #ConservationZambia #ConservationEducation

16.01.2022 Awesomeness- we were a piece in this wonderful puzzle thanks to Corey

15.01.2022 Exciting news in C4C land... we are now officially incorporated!!! First step in our BIG PLANS!!!

15.01.2022 With all the fire response that has taken over the heart space of 2020 so far, one thing that is so very evident to me, is how so deeply connected we are. I’ve witnessed a longing in people to become a REAL part of the bigger picture, a WANT to know their individual actions DO matter and a drive to take that action knowing it MAKES A DIFFERENCE and positive results will be seen. What we achieved in January as part of the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Appeal is nothing short of a...mazing. The story of our impact will be ongoing to the Island. There will be more response that requires more front line action and more opportunities to be involved. Stay tuned for that..... But for now, what has been on simmer in the background has been another way that involves and connects us all to that big picture. C4C, in conjunction with Still Conserving and Chipembele Wildlife Education Trust - CWET opens up the opportunity to take conservation action in another way - Action Taking Tours to Zambia! If you have been following us, you know C4C is all about action for conserving the wild, and building a community to do it! This tour is called Kusamala, meaning ‘the act of conserving’. It is about community immersion and empowerment on the front line, creating tribes of believers, and living wildlife conservation with the locals of Mfuwe in Zambia. Chipembele graduate Samson Moyo of Mosam Media has created a video, capturing the essence of what being an Action Taker on a Kusamala Tour will look like. Plus program in detail is attached. First two 10 night tour dates have been set: August 24-September 3, 2020 April 5-15 April 2021. Exclusively intimate with only 10 Action takers per tour (18yrs minimum) Land only package $2200 USD (plus a $500 USD Conservation Levy) = Total $2700 USD Flights and insurance not included in this price. 14.01.2022 II RIPPLES II You never know the real impact of the pebble you cast into the water. It could brighten a day. It could change a life. ... It could inspire change. The most important thing is knowing that the stories we tell, the decisions we make and the actions we take, are all pebbles and they will ripple. The true magic lies in not knowing how far the ripples will travel and what difference they could make. Cast with kindness. Cast with good intention. Cast with knowledge. Thank you @respect_earth_ for this delightful reminder of our impact

09.01.2022 Look what champions for conservation continue to do....seek ways to make a difference! For everyone in, and beyond, our community, this is what C4C does best. Supports and connects with each other to protect our wild world! Please share and join Nathan Langley in his want to give back and honour friendship by making a difference

05.01.2022 II RETURNING HOME II Last week, in the Active Ed Headquarters, I captured a female possum who had decided to call the equipment storeroom her home. Huge thank you goes out to native superwoman @bevlangley at Minton Farm for providing a weeks retreat of love and care for her, while research on how to enclose the storeroom of all its sneaky entry spots to the outdoors occurred. Today, more than three metres up, facing East and not near a branch fork (so it’s safe from cats c...limbing in), we found a native tree within her territory to call home. With tempting apple on top, tonight, when it’s time for the nocturnals to venture out, we will release her at the base of her new home. Thanks Geoff Kay for climbing the ladder and using the drill while I fought the prickles below! A team effort all for the greater good xx Have fun in the wild dear possum

05.01.2022 II OUR KINGS II Three and a half years ago, our C4C Community invested and believed in a young Zambian conservationist who dreamed of doing tertiary vet studies. ‘A night for Kings’ has led to this.... an educated man, who is entirely dedicated to wildlife, contributing to the conservation and protection of African carnivores. This is what being a part of REAL difference is. Kings, we are so proud of you and your determination and passion to always be your best self for yo...u, your community and our wild world. Truly ‘A Kings for Wildlife’ See more

05.01.2022 While social distancing grows into the new norm, I’d love to share something I recently read and resonated with..... The COVID-19 pandemic makes clear our global human interconnectedness and the responsibilities we have to one another. We have no precedent for its challenges, but we do know that our best response relies on the sort of global empathy, cooperation, and community building that sit at the heart of our movement It made me think of C4C and our promise to keep se...eking ways to make a difference. The fires and their impact probably seem a world away for so many, but even after the ash has gone cold, and the new leaves have started to appear, the wildlife are still calling for help. C4C is not about just listening, but about taking action for their call. This time, the calls come from a critically endangered species who are searching for habitat to create their future - it’s breeding time for the Glossy Black Cockatoos Staying connected with a dedicated team of two Glossy lovers who live to listen and follow them from below, are our conservation champions and legends Ro Anna and Phil. Together, this is how ‘our best response happens and our movement continues’. This week saw us creating, making and travelling back to Kangaroo Island on a purposeful wildlife mission; to deliver 12 bespoke nesting boxes. Just as a postcode can be important to some, these Glossy Blacks like only one species of tree to nest in. Their hollows can take hundreds of years to form as they like a depth of over 1 metre. As with most threats, the fires weren’t so picky in their destruction and the Glossy Blacks hollows are now in high demand. Using all our remaining donated funds, an old nesting box template from the island, and a whole lot of generosity, we created some damn fine prime real estate. We painted them up with Ro and Phil and also visited active feeding and nesting sites. We dropped into KI Wildlife Park for some hardwood mulch (repurposing the used koala branches) for use at the bottom of the nesting boxes when it comes to hanging time. What a mattress - thanks koalas While at the Park, it was heart warming to see only 12 adult koalas remaining in care, with the rest all having been released. So in a time when you may feel distant and disconnected, this wonderful delivery connects us all to the bigger picture; one that we all live in but sometimes don’t see. Maybe, just maybe, as socialising in outdoor spaces becomes our only option, it could just be a chance for more people to realise returning, connecting, loving and protecting nature is one of the most rewarding heartfilling things we can do! So from here, we are still listening and watching, and we will be ready to take more action when we hear the call. Ro and Phil, for being our trustworthy heartbeats on the island - thank you. C4C community, I hope you are proud of your impact - thank you. Haidee Kinter
