24.01.2022 Wow what can i say about this one! no waterproofing and like most wet areas ROT! however our team of professional tradies got in and sorted through the issues and rectification process to enable a blank canvas to create the clients ideas! 21.01.2022 The importance of good waterproofing cannot be stressed enough as the photos below show what happens when a en suite/ wet area or bathroom is not properly waterproofed allowing for the penetration of moisture through into substrates such as wall linings, flooring, sub frame and structural timbers. Not only does this allow for the very real possibility of termites entering through these wet areas but equally as important is the damage caused by rotting timbers and Stachybotry...s chartarum- otherwise known as Black Mold. Now for those of you wondering what the hell is Black Mold put simply it is a type of fungus that when in its dry form will create air borne spores that can make you very unwell causing headaches, sneezing and coughing to more serious cases including respiratory failure, bleeding on the lungs and many other complications especially for sufferers of Hay-fever, asthma and allergies. Having studied extensively back in NZ with the E2 clause for healthier homes , water penetration and prevention i immediately used that knowledge here on this area, treating the area whilst wearing PPE and ensuring our staff and most importantly the clients were notified and protected from possible further harm. With the mould stopped in its tracks and the rotten and affected areas treated and replaced we were able to return to what will be another great project by Creating your Ideas- Tiling and Building thanks again to Chris Whiu for your help on this little gem in Jimboomba. 20.01.2022 Happy Sunday to all! Sorry the posts haven't been up lately here at Creating your Ideas- Tiling and Building we have had a very busy last month and with solid work in the pipeline and projects in progress as we post am excited to share these before and after photos of the Eight mile En suite. As you can see in the photos the clients en suite was dark and the tiling a little rough to say the least but after listening to what they wanted and the issues they had with the curren...t set out and color scheme we set to work creating their ideas with a few of our own of course. Shifting the walk in robe wall 200mm allowed more space in the en suite and the barn door option coming directly off the master bedroom allowed for better access. Wall hung vanity on exterior wall and open access shower gives the space a bigger feel with the full width shower niche allowing us to delete the need for screw in add ons so prominent in a lot of shower enclosures The floor tiling extending up Niche wall gives the break in a predominately white room and the timber look vanity compliments the look they were after. The recessed mirror cabinet and double power point inside gives them options for hair drier, shaver, electric toothbrush as well as separate switch for led recessed down light above vanity All in all a fantastic makeover for a very lovely couple! the hybrid flooring in main floor was laid by the clients themselves of which i must admit looks better then most flooring outfits work! 20.01.2022 Not often does one realize the work involved in completing a garden shed 3m x 3m on reinforced concrete slab with polythene underneath. Came up mint and client is very happy that is all that matters. Thank you to my helpers Chris Whiu and Angela Lee for assisting with this.

19.01.2022 These photos show the difference waterproofing and professional tradesman can have when dealing with a rotten shower and a poor family having to put up with this for a number of years. This rectification work didnt break the bank and was a pleasure to see the end result both for ourselves Creating your Ideas- Tiling and Building but especially for the family whom i must add were amazing through this project! a very special thanks to Sierra and Sam for your hospitality and to Matt at Top Tier Plumbing and Josh O'Brien from Proofit waterproofing services for your amazing work as usual! 18.01.2022 Well its been somewhat of a mission getting this project up and moving with extensive termite damage and major plumbing and drainage issues, dealing with council etc but glad to finally be posting some progress photos of a studio Air BNB on the coast we are doing for some very patient understanding clients! Tiling next week then new kitchen and hybrid flooring throughout , some painting and new glass balustrades over new patio tiling and boom! the next chapter of photos will blow your mind as this little gem starts to take shape. 08.01.2022 This lovely client wanted a floor makeover so out with the old carpet and smooth edge , feather finish the edges, prime and lay hybrid Black butt light timber look flooring with attention to detail focused on finishing the boards under the existing skirting boards without the need for the horrible floor scotia so many companies try to sell their clients. More labour intensive but i think we all agree a far better finish with cleaner sharper lines.

03.01.2022 Well in amongst the other jobs currently underway and ones completed in the last few weeks weve been busy creating this frontage and outdoor retaining and steps for lovely clients in Edens landing. Heres a snapshot of the work currently in progress with the driveway , drains and steps with outdoor lighting to finish i think this one will be a show stopper. Watch this space! Some grout darker around edges as just finished the silicone when i took these but you get the general drift. Here at Creating your Ideas- Tiling and Building we love the way this ones looking.
