25.01.2022 Had a few bits of camphor laurel left over so decided to put an Interesting handle in them ,I call them dagger handle chopping /cutting boards in store now at folkologie.

25.01.2022 I have now finished two ladder towel/whatever you want to hang on them holders,they were made from a very rustic painters ladder from Gilgandra a lot of work but that makes them look better in the end.I love rustic

24.01.2022 Hi long time no post been a little busy,I have been building a new workshop in Rylstone. These photos are of the workshop front some very old hand crafted slabs which were found on a property north of Barraba.The photos show the progression of these back to where they were found .

23.01.2022 Getting close to moving into a bigger and better space in Rylstone .We now need a bigger counter have the old cedar countertop from Mollie McDonald's store in boggabri the building was erected in 1910 demolished about 10 years ago.The two pieces which were one of the counters in her store are 4.5 m long and together 730 wide they are burn't, bashed and worn but deserve a new life in our store.

22.01.2022 This is a little side project a small stool made from old timber windmill pump rods .

18.01.2022 The strong box now completed, Handles by Alex Scheibner our local blacksmith .Photographed with my convict lock and key I am afraid it won't be sold with that,I now need get onto the other one and finish it.

16.01.2022 The smaller than usual display cabinet now finished will be in Folkologie store tomorrow.

16.01.2022 So we have this old pile of metal which was once a very early shipping container ,some catching pen doors off an old shearing shed.I am turning all that into two strong box type pieces hopefully they will turn out like the last one I made pictured.

15.01.2022 The Molly cabinet is coming along it has a lot of character, or as I like to say high on the rusticity scale.

12.01.2022 I have the strong boxes on there way ,I forgot how long they take to make.Need some handles a coating and polish and then on to the other one.

12.01.2022 This is my latest project we have discovered an old library unit from Alexandria library in Egypt it's pretty beat up .Made from Baltic pine not sure of the age ,but old .The unit is double sided and when together measures 2m long 950 mm wide and 2.8 m high very heavy it will be in our new store in Rylstone as a shop fitting.

11.01.2022 The new style long boards, the timber from old kitchen table tops with the local blacksmith made handles in the Folkologie store now.

11.01.2022 My next project an old white sewing machine base,I think it will make an interesting small table it is actually rather tall .

11.01.2022 The long boards done with the blacksmith handles ,the timber came from old table tops a mixture of oak ,maple and Kauri pine.

10.01.2022 This little project is mine I have 4 old 1800,s red cedar French doors normal height, I need to make them 2540 mm high and strip the paint .Certainly a little Time consuming and I don't have much of that, but I think it will be worth it when they are hanging on the built in wardrobe in the bedroom of our home in Rylstone.

09.01.2022 The new cabinet done and dusted heading to Folkologie in the morning

06.01.2022 The next little project ,some petrol box ends not in great condition so I have to frame them to keep them together old packing box sides. So together I hope to turn it into an interesting cabinet.

06.01.2022 The Molly unit now finished .Time to move onto another project .

06.01.2022 Well in the end the old cut down green table didn't go with the top six drawers.So i used another old found table which matched the top a little better, best part is I now have two pieces for the shop .

06.01.2022 The new display table for folkologie, made from old redwood fascia boards off an old homestead the top old slabs from a hut .

05.01.2022 Some very rustic pieces I picked up on the weekend somehow I am going to put them together as one unit .

04.01.2022 Scored some great boxes from my new friend Debi at Bingara some have been cut up and used for storage boxes which means I don't feel bad about using them for furniture .Can't wait to get started on that project .
