24.01.2022 Discovered last night that my prescription reading glasses are stronger than the reading section of my graduated lenses in my other glasses. Both pairs of glasses were made by the same people at the same time. I do not understand why there is a significant difference. Does anyone out there know?
19.01.2022 Recycling Shoes My friend Shirley had a pair of white Vans that were bought into the second hand clothing store she works at. They were so badly stained that the staff were going to throw them out as the believed no one would want them. Shirley decided to take them home and give them a wash. That did not improve them much at all. She asked me if painting them would help. If I had painted them one colour it would not as we would still seen the stains through the colour. I chos...e to do a rainbow effect and put the overlapping colours where the heaviest stains were on the shoes. It worked a treat. The first pics are with the colour added only. Shirley wanted some dooding on top so the second pics are with the pattern added. So if you have some expensive canvas shoes looking the worse for ware just call "JUDY" I have the skills. I only wish I had taken pictures of how bad these shoes looked before I started. One shoe was actually more stained than the other. See more
16.01.2022 I haven't been doodling a lot on paper lately but have done some over the past year on shoes. I though I might show you what I have been up to. The same as with doodling I do not pre-plan anything. I just start on one side of the shoe and keep going until I am happy with the results. The only difference is I usually have a paint brush in my hand instead of a Sakura marker. I do use permanent fine line fabric markers for the line work though. Hope you enjoy. Feel free to use my ideas in your own way for personal use. I have been selling my shoes lately and it has been exciting to see what others like and want.
03.01.2022 I have started using my doodling lately as the first step on my art journaling pages. Here are a few I have done recently
