25.01.2022 Lights, Camera, Action -27 February 2019 This engaging and informative presentation by Zana Dare will look at the achievements of some of our early films. Australia’s early film makers were not only highly creative, but industrious, leading the world in the development of the art form of film making. We will look at highlights from The Story of Ned Kelly and the Dad and Dave films. We will peek behind the scenes in classics like Forty Thousand Horsemen and On the Beach, with ...so many stars they dubbed it ‘Hollywood comes to Melbourne’. 10.01.2022 Arts Residency in France May June 2018 It was bliss! From May to June we had our own arts studio ‘Atelier de la Rose’ located in the charming medieval village of Montcabier in the Lot South West France. The owner, Sally Gaucheron, a gourmet cook, went out of her way to cater to our need our every need. The theme for our work was ‘Landscape and Memory’ and very apt, for it seemed like the ancient stones of the village, its arches and its peaceful surrounds all had their unique stories to tell. What a tranquil and productive time! We have a wealth of material, not to mention memories.

07.01.2022 What a wonderful experience as an Enrichment Lecturer! Cruising provides very different experiences these days compared to the activities and entertainment offered in the past. ‘Radiance of the Seas’ is an amazing cruise ship big but not too big. Our journey began in Honolulu, then down to Polynesia to visit Papette, Bora Bora, and Moorea. Then it was over to Wellington and Picton. Giving the lectures was a little daunting at first but I soon got into the swing of it. My to...pics covered: Artists, Writers, Explorers, Icons of New Zealand, the ANZACs, highlights from early Australian films and Secrets of Sydney Harbour. The Activities Manager scheduled the talks in different places on board which was helpful in reaching different audiences. Often after the talk there would be many questions and discussion as people shared anecdotes and stories. See more

04.01.2022 Cruise News Zana has a new role as Enrichment Lecturer on Royal Caribbean’s Radiance of the Seas. The ship sails in September from Honolulu to Sydney via Tahiti and New Zealand. Her lectures will centre around artists, writers and explorers of the South Pacific. Standby for updates from the high seas.
