19.01.2022 Creative Access classes start back next week!!!

18.01.2022 Adult Classes start back today! 1-2pm Creative Access Art classes are for people with varied needs. Sessions are $15 per week and can be paid for per term or casually. Our Monday session is close to full and we are currently taking interest in opening another class time. If you would like to book in or ask some questions please call Peta on 0434026005.... >>>more info below on our classes and people below.... "Creative Access" offers open ended Art Education. The studio is set up to allow students to choose from a wide range of materials and activities each session. With two teachers available to guide and encourage as students explore at their own pace. "Creative Access" is a brilliant alternative to 'sit down' lessons for the more active learner. Artistic expression is also a great way to reduce anxiety and a discreet way to introduce new materials, textures and smells to those with sensory issues. Creative Access, founded by Peta Chalmers and Peter Davison, is an educational arts program running out of The Creative Space located at TheGRID: hybrid arts collective in Toowoomba. Peta Chalmers holds a Degree in Fine Art and brings over a decade of experience teaching art to the project. Peta also brings a wealth of knowledge regarding Autism and Aspergers Syndrome. Peter Davison holds a Degree in Psychology, Diploma in Visual Arts and a Certificate IV in Disability and is currently studying honours in Anthropology. Peter is also currently employed by Richmond Fellowship Queensland as a recreation officer and brings seven years previous experience as a live in support worker.

15.01.2022 We had an Awesome opening last Saturday! Come to TheGRID: hybrid arts collective and check out the exhibition! It's on all month and it's interactive!!!

14.01.2022 A few more pics from the fun this year!!! Showing that canvases don't always need easels :) In Creative Access Toowoomba we provide a multitude of comfy spaces and places for our Artists to set up. Pretty much anything goes in this room :)

12.01.2022 We still have a few spaces left in our Creative Access Toowoomba class on Tuesday afternoon! 3.30-4.30pm this class is for primary age kids who would prefer a more free style Art Class, where they get to decide what they would like to do for an hour each week in a fully stocked Art room, with 2 of the most awesome (and patient) Art teachers on the planet! We keep this class to a maximum of 5 kids. Fees are $15 each with casual attendance plus a $25 a term materials fee. In today's class Jack was inventing (as per usual) and he came up with this super slippery, extra long ball tunnel! Meanwhile Taylor (in the background) spent her time creating illustrations of cats from around the world....today was London Cat. :)

11.01.2022 Heaps of Creative Access Fun!!!! CHECK IT OUT!! :) :) :)
